To Ms. Bella,

I am writing on behalf of the Aisha Foundation.

We have been looking for ways to help vulnerable omegas through their heats and are very impressed by your work with the Safe House. We would like to offer you a sponsorship opportunity with us.

If you are interested, please let us know and we can arrange a meeting to discuss details and terms. I am free Thursday the 17th, at 3pm if that works, otherwise please reach out to arrange another meeting.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Phoebe Bridges

I took another sip of my coffee, hoping that would help. It sounded important, and I squinted at it, trying to tease out the meaning of the email despite my caffeine-deprived brain.

A sponsorship opportunity? I chewed on my lip. And with the Aisha Foundation. Why did that sound vaguely familiar?

I pulled out my phone and did a quick online search.

My heart raced as I saw a picture of a beautiful omega with bright golden eyes standing on a podium, with the Aisha Foundation logo printed on the backdrop behind her.

Vex Eden’s Aisha foundation will support and fund new opportunities to protect vulnerable omegas.

Vex Eden, the gold pack omega from the Gritch who had a princess bond with the mega-movie stars, the Crimson Fury pack.

Shit, if anyone was legit about helping poor, gold pack omegas, it was her.

Okay, so this wasn’t for certain, but this was hope.

Hope that the Safe House might survive after all.

TWELVE

VANDER

There were about three steps between the bathroom door and the spare bedroom. Apparently, that was still enough space for Juniper to accost me. I’d woken early to try to have a quiet, undisturbed morning, but from her expression that wasnotgoing to happen.

“That’s my towel,” she said in a furious whisper, arms folded as she eyed the towel slung around my hips. Huh. That’s why it had been on its own little shelf in the linen closet. But it had also been the only one that was a comfortable size.

“That’s real great, sweetheart,” I replied, keeping my voice low. Didn’t want Jhin waking up and sticking his nose in.

“Stop using it.”

“You that desperate to see me naked again?” I asked, and her face flushed.

“God, you are such a pain in the ass.”

“You didn’t seem to mind at the time.” I shot her a smile. The redness on her face turned splotchy.

“Fuckingirrelevant,” she snapped. “Just grab another one, okay?”

“Not going to happen,” I said, folding my arms. “I’vealreadydried myself with it. I’m literally using it for two more feet.”

“It’s theprinciple,” she sniffed, a haughty expression crossing her face. I scowled. I absolutely hated that face. I hated how much I wanted to see it while she was sitting primly on her bed, clad in nothing but spiked heels. How long could she keep it before it cracked? Before she was gasping beneath me, her nails clawing into my back?

“This is not my fucking fault,” I hissed. “If you want me to not touch your stuff, I actually have toknowit’s yours. Maybe you could, I don’t know, act like anormalomega and scent mark your shit?”
