“What. Oh, fuck?—”

I bend her over and thrust deep, grabbing her hair and pulling her head back. Her palms squeak on the glass as she tries to steady herself.

“I’ve waited a long time for this,” I growl, spanking her hard. She cries out, pushing back against me.

My teeth scrape her neck. “You teased me. Tormented me. But now you’re mine.”

She breaks. “Connor, I’m gonna?—”

“No, you’re not.”

I pull out, lift her again, and carry her to the couch.

“We’ve got a whole penthouse to use,” I whisper darkly. “I’m gonna fuck you on every surface.”

“Then do it,” she dares, her eyes and tone feral.

I throw her onto the cushions, and she’s already reaching for me, dragging me down by the neck.

I slam into her, capturing her mouth with mine, devouring her mouth like it’s the air I need to breathe.

The way she clings to me. The way her body trembles with every thrust, this isn’t just love.

It’s feral, soul-deep love mixed with obsession.

She’s not part of my world anymore.

She is my world.

Ishould be asleep after everything Connor just did to me.

Every kiss, every thrust, every whispered claim should have me deep in the land of the unconscious.

But I’m wide awake, staring at the ceiling, his arm draped over my waist, his breath warm against my neck.

I shift slightly.

His grip tightens, like even in sleep his body refuses to let me go.

I don’t mind at all.

He murmurs something against my shoulder, lips brushing my skin like he’s branding me in his sleep.

“You still awake?” I whisper.

He doesn’t answer right away.

Just pulls me closer, his chest pressed tight against my back. “Can’t sleep,” he finally says, voice thick and low.

I turn in his hold, face-to-face now in the dim light.

His eyes meet mine. There’s something raw in them.

Something unguarded.
