“I got that,” I said with a smirk and looked up at him. “You don’t seem as upset as your brother though, why is that?”

“Because I spoke to Leona and didn’t jump to conclusions,” he answered. “You know he’s hotheaded.”

That was an understatement.

“So, you’re two of the ones vying for her?” I asked.

He nodded. “Yes. Does that upset you?”

Should it? Because it didn’t.

“No,” I replied immediately. “I want you to find love and I want her to be loved. Just know that if you hurt her—”

“You’ll kill us,” he finished for me.

I smiled evilly. “No, if you hurt her, I’ll castrate you.”

His nostrils flared and eyes widened. “I will do my best to keep her happy and safe.”

I patted his shoulder. “I’m sure you will.”

Declan walked out and bowed to me. “I’m sorry, Jolie. Please forgive me.”

“You’re forgiven. Try to remember to take your fights to more deserted areas next time, okay?”

He straightened and nodded. “I’ve already paid the owner. I’m going to help clean up a bit.”

“I’ll help,” Kylan said with a shake of his head.

Leona walked out and Kylan immediately hugged her, whispering something that had her cheeks reddening.

Rhys pulled me away to kiss my cheek. “You’re sure that you are okay?”

“Perfectly fine,” I assured him.

He flew away with a few growled words at Declan first.

I faced Leona. “So, you want to tell me about it?”

She sighed and looped her arm through mine as we headed to go to our favorite café to drink tea and chat. “You don’t even know the half of it. Wait until you hear what Ezio did.”

I had noticed that Ezio was spending more time around her.

“You’re amassing more men than even me,” I teased.

She groaned and let her head drop forward. “You don’t even know!”

We sat at our usual table, immediately got our usual teas thanks to being frequent visitors and not even needing to place an order, and some scones.

“I know that Silver asked for my permission to ask you on a date,” I said in a sing-song voice as I raised my cup to my lips.

Her head snapped up and her mouth dropped open. “What? He did? When?”

My laughter exploded out of me as I enjoyed her shock.

“Laugh it up. You’re not the one dealing with all these alphas vying for you and the one you’ve known the longest, fallen the hardest for, not wanting to be part of that,” she grumbled.

No, I had had it easy when it came to my mates sharing me. They had all been best friends and had a warrior’s bond already, which they’d inadvertently added me to.
