“What is the meaning of this?” I demanded. “Shift and talk to me.”

Thor shifted and immediately dropped to one knee before me. “I’m sorry, Princess. He attacked me and before I could stop him, he hit the shop with his tail.”

The dragon still hadn’t shifted and was turning his head so I couldn’t meet his gaze.

“Shift!” I bellowed, putting as much authority into it as I could.

With a grunt, the dragon shifted and my mouth dropped as I stared at Declan in human form.

I’d thought that he had looked familiar.

“Declan, what the heck, dude?” I asked.

He dropped to both knees and bowed his head to me. “I’m sorry, Jolie.”

Another dragon dropped down, one that looked identical to Declan, which meant it had to be Kylan, Declan’s twin brother. He shifted immediately and smacked the back of Declan’s head.

Yep, definitely Kylan.

Kylan walked to me and hugged me. “I’m sorry. He flew away and I didn’t know where he was going. Please, forgive my idiot brother.”

I patted his upper back and stepped back from him. “Why are you attacking Thor anyway?”

Kylan, Declan, and Thor all looked at the ground.

The pieces clicked together and I smirked. “Oh, I see. Well, you’re going to have to pay for this damage and apologize to Leona because she was almost hurt. If she’d been a few seconds slower, your tail and the debris could have seriously injured her.”

Declan’s eyes widened and he ran inside the salon to her, running his hands along her face and arms.

Thor clenched his jaw and turned away.

For the love of mana, these men would be the death of me.

Rhys flew into sight and landed beside me, scowling. “What’s going on? I felt you pull on our bond.”

“Sorry,” I said and set a hand on his chest, the touch reassuring him that I was safe.

He looked around at the destruction and then at Kylan.

Kylan raised his hands in the air. “It wasn’t me.”

“It was Declan,” I explained.

Rhys growled and moved to walk around me, but I grabbed his arm. He looked down at my hand.

“It’s fine. I took care of it.”

“No, it’s not fine. He knows better than to cause such destruction where people can be hurt. A piece of glass could have struck you or someone nearby.”

I released him and sighed. Why were the men in my life so stubborn?

“Are you sure you’re unhurt?” Thor asked me.

“I’m fine.”

He turned away. “I need to call Dan.”

Kylan stepped closer to me. “I’m sorry for them. Things have been…tense lately.”
