Cooper must have seen it because he said, “Don’t.”

I let my gaze shift to the window. If I thought too much about the fact that the driver wanted to see my mangled body on the asphalt, I’d run screaming into the night.

Not that my current situation was any better. How the hell was I going to trick their parents? At least with vampires they didn’t have any sort of traditions that required bowing and scraping for attention like the wolves did. I didn’t think I could do that. Bowing to someone was just so beneath me.

A warm large hand touched my inner thigh.

My eyes jerked down to find Duke’s hand creeping up the inside of my thigh. I licked my lips and flicked my eyes up to his face. Duke’s head was turned, his eyes on the window while his fingers made circles around the inside of my thigh, slowly inching higher and higher.

I swallowed and wiggled in place. Did he realize what he was doing? I peered over at him and still saw the back of his head and then slowly to the front of the car. If Duke or Cooper suspected anything they didn’t show it.

Part of me wanted to say something. The other part wanted to see where Duke would go with this. It would be better to know what kind of guy I was dealing with, wouldn’t it? I kept telling myself that as his fingers drifted higher on my thigh and dipped beneath the short skirt of the dress, skimming the front of my panties.

My core caught on fire and I clamped my mouth shut to keep from panting with need. My eyes kept flickering to the front seats expecting the others to figure out what was going on at any moment but it seemed like my smell glamour was really doing its job.

Duke’s fingers found my bundle of nerves and circles it slowly. I turned my eyes out the window, putting my fist to my mouth to hold back my moan. It was so bad. So, so bad and yet…so so good. Fuck. I was so wet now that my panties were soaked through. How could they not smell it? How could they not know what was going on back here? How could they —

The orgasm hit me so suddenly that I didn’t brace myself when the car came to a sudden stop and I flew forward, smacking my head on the back of Cooper’s seat.

“Fuck!”

“Are you alright, sis?” Duke asked with a concerned expression as if he hadn’t just had his hand between my legs.

I rubbed my forehead and growled, “Fine. Asswipe.”

Jax cackled from the front seat. “Look, she found out Laurie’s nickname for you all on her own!”

Ihung back while Cooper and Jax started into the restaurant ahead of us and I smacked Duke on the arm. “What the hell was that you sicko?”

Duke flinched back and smirked. “You were freaking out. I was just trying to help you out.”

“But it’s so messed up.” I gestured at my body. “I’m your sister.”

Duke snorted. “Yeah, on the outside.” He pointed at my chest. “But I know on the inside you are that hot sexy piece of ass that wanted nothing more than to play with us the other night.”

“Still,” I rolled my shoulders and glanced over to the side. “It’s icky. You’re touching your sister.”

“I was touching you,” Duke countered once more. “I kept my eyes closed and just imagined that fuckable little body of yours. And just so you know…” he leaned down and whispered in my ear, “You taste nothing like her.”

I screwed up my face and shook my head. “I don’t even want to know how you know that.”

He picked my hand up and gave it a lick. “Tasting each other is part of our weird werewolf quirks. See…” He gave my hand another lick and closed his eyes, his mouth closing around the taste. “You might look like my sister. You might sound like her and hell, you even smell like her but on a basic biological level you aren’t her. Just like you said you couldn’t heal like a shifter, you won’t taste like one either.” He released my hand and tipped me under the chin. “So remember that when greeting other pack members.”

I batted away his hand and followed the others into the restaurant, trying to ignore the cooling wetness in my panties. I didn’t taste like her? I hadn’t even thought of that. Damn werewolves with their stupid wolf quirks.

“Just breathe,” Duke said at my elbow as we walked into the snazzy restaurant.

“Fuck off,” I said out of the corner of my mouth while avoiding eye contact with the waiters who seemed to sense when there was someone not of their kilt in their midst even with the glamour.

“Mother,” Cooper bent down and brushed his lips against the cheek of a brunette haired beauty and then shook hands with an older gentleman that Cooper was the spitting image of. “Father.”

“Laurie,” their mother greeted with a tight smile. “We didn’t think we’d see you at our weekly lunch.”

Plastering a polite smile on my lips, I took a seat across from them between Duke and Cooper. “I wouldn’t miss lunch with the family.”

Their mother snorted and took a drink of the amber liquid in her glass that was so not nonalcoholic. “Since when do you care about family?”
