And he made his way to the cockpit.
“Do you even know how to fly a plane?” The words came out in a low mutter, the question one I wasn’t sure I actually wanted an answer to.
But he’d clearly heard it because he threw an icy glower back at me over his shoulder before he settled into the pilot’s seat and began fiddling with the controls.
I clutched my stomach as he did something to stabilize the trajectory of the plane.Ugh.The room spun a little. Or the plane did. Or just my mind. I really wasn’t sure.
Vertigo, the physician part of me recognized.Really bad vertigo.
I tried to focus enough to see, but my vision was painted in black stripes.
Really hope Jonas can see,I thought dizzily.Really hope he knows… what… he’s doing…
My insides rioted as we continued through the sky, and I only vaguely heard a voice saying, “You’re going to have to walk me through that.”
“No shit.”
“Where am I heading?”
“Go—” A fuzzy sound followed, the echoing making me wince.
“Didn’t catch that, Kieran.” Jonas’s voice was clearer, but I couldn’t see him, my vision still unfocused. “Kieran?Fuck.”
The atmosphere changed again, making me queasy.
“We need to land.” The words were clear, Jonas’s voice loud. But I didn’t know if they were for me or Kieran.
Is he talking to him on the comms? Is that what they’re even called on a plane?I wasn’t sure.
“Whatever you do, don’t get up,” Jonas added.
That must have been for me. Rather than acknowledge him, I just tried to sink into my seat a little more to keep from throwing up.
Not that I had any food in my stomach to lose.
I’d missed breakfast, thanks to my internal suppressant debate.
Something I was a bit thankful for now as the plane dipped again. I didn’t typically suffer from motion sickness, but nothing about this felt normal.
Jonas cursed.
Kieran’s voice came through again, the communication scratchy.
I couldn’t decipher what he said, but Jonas responded with what sounded like coordinates.
Then he shouted for me to hold on.
To what?I wanted to ask, my arms curling around myself as my seat belt held me captive. This is really not how I want to die.
Wolf or not, I doubted we could survive a plane crash.
We healed quickly, but not that quickly.
The plane shook violently, the change in air pressure irritating my ears.Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
A growl vibrated through the cabin, the source coming from Jonas. I shivered in response, my wolf whimpering inside.
This is bad.
