Page 32 of Justice for JoElla

Brandon wasn’t sure she even realized what she said. We’ll have to come back sometime. Did that mean she was open to seeing him again? “Yeah, we will.”

They finished the meal and Brandon paid the check. When they reached the car, JoElla turned to face him. “What now?”

“I dunno. What do you want to do?”

“The truth?”

“Of course.”

There wasn’t a hint of embarrassment on her face when she answered, “I wanna get laid.”

Holy mother of god, JACKPOT!Brandon’s brain screamed. “I think I can accommodate you there.”

“My place or yours?”

He sighed. “My place is the guest room at Landon and Jerrica’s house.”

“Oh, riiiiight. Forgot about that. Then my place it is. Need alcohol?”

“No. I don’t need alcohol. I want my wits about me.”

JoElla chuckled. “Well, that’s a good plan.”

They didn’t talk much in the car, and he was sort of glad. It was very awkward, and yet it was also kinda hot. Driving back with a woman he knew he was going to fuck was really awesome in his mind. Exciting. Intense.

And a little scary. Boy, that was one area in which hereallydidn’t want to disappoint her.

The car rolled to a stop in front of her apartment and she got out without waiting for him to open the door. “Uh, I’d like to be a gentleman when you get in and out of the car.”

“Save it for somebody who gives a damn, Brandon. I mean, really. I don’t care how I get in or out of the car. I can get myself in or out of the car.” As soon as the door opened, she disappeared inside, so Brandon took off that direction. He cleared the doorway, turned to close and lock the door, and when he spun back to face her, she was on him in a heartbeat. The kiss she pressed to his lips pushed his head back against the door, and he knew what was going on.Just let her have her way, he told himself. When he realized she’d managed to get his shirt unbuttoned, he started on hers. Those buttons gave way to a beautiful balconette bra, and he knew then that she’d been planning to bed him all along. Was he just a fuck buddy to her? Who the hell cared?

He did. He’d never been about casual relationships. He’d had one, and look where it had landed him?homeless and jobless. That had been the biggest mistake of his life, and he wasn’t going to make it again.

“Take it to the bedroom?” he asked as he trailed a finger down from her collarbone to the top of her bra cup.

“Yeah. Let’s.”

“Damn.”

“What?”

“I don’t have any condoms.”

She laughed. “I’ve got a whole box!”

“Do this often, do you?” he asked with a grin.

“Nope. The box has never been opened. Guess I was waiting to find somebody who was worthy of them.”

“I’m flattered.” She led the way, then stopped in the bedroom door, unclasped her bra, and dropped it on the floor. “Anything in particular I should know? Anything in particular that you like?”

“Yeah.” She wheeled on him again, dragged him to the bed, and waited until he’d dropped his slacks before she sat down beside him. “I like it fast and hard.”

“Why does that not surprise me?” he asked as he kissed her again, and that time, he bit her lower lip. She hissed and came back at him. “I’ll get you ready and you’ll be screaming.”

It appeared he’d said something funny because she snorted. “No point. Just fuck me.”

“No point? I get you off, you’ll be?”
