JoEllaTompkins got the fucking she’d asked for, but it wasn’t the one she thought she wanted. Brandon poured it on, trying different angles, watching her face, listening to her moans, her breathing, her gasps. He could tell what to do and when just by those reactions.Good thing I paid attention in class, he thought, remembering back to the female anatomy and physiology intensive he’d taken. It was paying off in spades, that good grade he made in the class, and he was beyond proud that he’d been the one. Taking a woman’s virginity? That was easy. Giving a woman her first orgasm? Not the easiest thing in the world. As he stroked into her over and over, he thought about things that could keep him hard and going, but it was getting more difficult.
She brought him back to the moment when she gripped his biceps, her nails digging into his flesh. “God, Brandon… Oh my god. You’re so… This is so…” Her voice trailed off as she moved against him, and Brandon gripped her ass and pulled her into him.
Fuck, she felt good! “Damn, babe, you likin’ this? Because I know I am.”
“Oh, yeah. I am. More. Faster. Please. Please?”
He did his best, and he hoped it was good enough. But he didn’t get far. “Fuck, babe, I’m…” And that was it. There was nothing left as he emptied into the latex and gave her a couple more good thrusts. Stretched out on top of her, he wrapped his arms around her ribcage and squeezed her tightly to him. Something about her felt right, like she belonged in his arms, in that bed with him, in that room. It felt like the space where he’d always been intended to be, like there had been a Brandon-shaped hole there before and he fit right in it. When he rolled to his side, he took her with him and gazed into her face.
Those big, luminous hazel eyes were closed, and she breathed gently. His hand stroked a strand of hair away from her face, and then he cupped his palm against her cheek. “Babe? JoElla? You okay?”
When her eyes fluttered open, they were bright with tears. “Yeah. I’m fine. Thanks. That was…”
“Epic maybe?”
She giggled?JoEllaTompkinsgiggled. He was pretty sure she hadn’t done that in all of her years. “Epic? Maybe. Really, really good? Definitely. You’re a patient man, BrandonFox.”
“Only for you.”
She frowned. “You’re not getting too attached to me, are you?”
He could feel his eyebrows creeping upward. “Maybe I am. Anything wrong with that?”
“Might be if I don’t feel the same way about you.”
“And do you feel the same way about me?”
To his surprise and delight, she kissed the tip of his nose. “Go to sleep, Brandon. See you in the morning.”
“So I’m staying?”
“Yeah. I’ve done the walk of shame so many times that I figure it’s somebody else’s turn,” she answered with a low chuckle.
“Sounds like a fair trade-off for getting to sleep with you in my arms all night.”
“Who says I’m sleeping in your arms?” She rolled with her back to him. “But if you want to spoon me, I’d kinda like that.”
Brandon laughed and reached for the lamp’s switch. “Well, it’s a huge imposition, but I’ll give it a try.”
Chapter 6
Damn that ringtone.Brandon groaned and reached for his phone. “Yeah,” he whispered into it.
“Where the hell are you?”
“Whaaa… What time is it?”
“Time that you should’ve at least called to say you weren’t coming in.”
“You actually care?”
“I care that we were worried you’d wake the baby, or us, and we’re both exhausted. I stayed up to make sure you weren’t drunk or something and banging around all over the place.”
“No. I wasn’t drunk or something, whatever the fuck that means. But I don’t?”
“Look, I don’t give a damn what you do. Really. But could you at least give us the courtesy of a call that says, oh, I dunno, maybe, ‘Hey, Landon, I’m staying over at Crow’s house,’ or, ‘Hey, I’m going to Louisville for the night with a couple of the guys.’ Something. Anything. But we didn’t know if you’d come barging into the house like a bull in a china shop or?”
“I get it, I get it. I’m sorry. It never occurred to me that you’d even notice I wasn’t there.”
