I look down at her body, lifting the sheets to get a good look. “You don’t have any hickeys.”
She flips over, facing the up. Her breasts bouncing as she does.
“Not me,” she grins. Then runs her fingers over my neck where I have a sore spot.
“You little blood sucker!” I tickle her sides and she squeals like a wild animal before bringing her fingers to her lips and making a shushing sound.
I drop my hands and listen. The front door closes shut.
“Oh shit,” I say.
“It’s Julian,” she says, pulling the sheets off in a panic.
Her fucking cousin. Of course, the same one who she had mentioned told everyone that she was Brody’s daughter. I have no doubt he’d be more than excited to spread this juicy rumor… however true it is.
She pulls her drawers open and throws on a t-shirt and some joggers.
“Sienna? You in?” His voice calls out, getting nearer.
“Uh… yeah. Yeah, just getting up.”
She motions for me to move and I slide off her bed, wrapping her sheet around my waist and looking for somewhere to go. I open her closet, but it’s tiny packed full of clothes.
“No,” she whisper yells. “Under the bed.”
My shoulders drop. “Are you fucking–” No time. I drop to the floor and roll on my back, sliding under her bed just as the door opens.
What am I fifteen? This is crazy.
“Hey,” Julian says, I can see his jordans upside down from where I am.
“Hey,” she says back, almost bored.
“Look about yesterday–”
“It’s fine, J. You have your life. I get it.”
It’s a lot dustier under this bed than I expected. I feel a tickle in my nose.
No, no, no. Don’t sneeze. Not now.
“Yeah… and you have yours. But I do feel bad for leaving you hanging. I wasn’t expecting to be out all night. Something just came up. You know?”
Hold it in. Hold it in.
“I get it. Something came up for me too. Don’t worry about it.”
“Really?” he says, relief in his voice.
Ohmigod, get lost kid!
“Really,” she says, earnestly.
“So we’re good?”
Fuck. I can’t.“Aaaachoooo!”
I hear his feet jump back. “Holy shit!’
