My body was so alive, and when the discomfort was gone, I moved my hips.
We moved slowly, and soon my body tingled and quivered, needing more of him.
“You feel so damn good,” he growled, his mouth trailing down my face to my neck. “I won’t be able to last much longer if we don’t take a break.”
“No break.” I turned my head more, giving him access to my neck. “I need you too much.”
Our bodies moved in unison, and he quickened the pace. His teeth raked my neck, and I whimpered with need as a different urge slammed through me. “Bite me.”
“Babe, you don’t have to let me do that,” he groaned, and his teeth scraped my neck harder. “Don’t say it again, or I won’t be able to stop myself.”
“You don’t understand.” My body clenched as my release neared again. “Ineedyou to bite me.” I needed us to release together and for him to claim me so much that it hurt.
His teeth sank into my neck.
My body convulsed, and it was more than an orgasm. It was all-consuming and something I would only be able to experience with him and like this.
His body shook with his release, and sensation flowed into me, making my body warm. I felt stronger.
It had to be our souls merging.
When the sensations dissipated and my pulse calmed, he pulled me into his arms and stroked my back. My heart felt so full … so warm. I’d never been so happy.
“You’re mine in all ways now.” Raffe kissed my neck where he’d bitten me. “There are no take backs. Everyone will know you’re mine and that we’re both taken.”
“Good.” I loved the finality of it. No one could drive us apart … not even Keith.
Shit.
Keith.
That was what the nagging feeling had been about earlier.
I sat up and scanned my bedroom for the cat. I didn’t understand how Raffe had gotten in here without Keith going psycho.
“What’s wrong?” Raffe surveyed the room as if trying to find the answer for me.
“Where’s Keith?” A lump formed in my throat. “I need to check on Keith.”
If I thought I’d seen Raffe move fast before, it was nothing compared to now. Pure rage lit his eyes, and he yanked on his clothes. “FuckingKeith. Why are you thinking abouthimafter making love with me? I’m going tokillhim.”
CHAPTER THIRTY
Isat up quickly, my breathing rapid. Something uncomfortably warm slammed into my chest and tightened it. “Cat Keith. Did Lucy not tell you about my cat?”
“CatKeith?” Raffe paused, the waist of his jeans still unbuttoned around his hips. Then he burst out laughing. “You named the catKeith?Lucy forgot to mention that.”
His body relaxed, and the uncomfortable sensation in my chest vanished.
I filled him in with the story of how he got his name.
“That sounds about right, even with this Keith.” He rolled his eyes and sat down next to me. “ButKeithis fine. Lucy let her out into the living room to give us some alone time.” He arched a brow. “But seriously, you brought a cat here to live with a wolf shifter? How did you expect that to go down?”
Fair point. “For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been struggling more than ever with my power, and animals calm me. She was about to be removed from the shelter and her future was uncertain. I’m the only person Keith likes, so when Natalie said I should take her home with me and why, I didn’t even think about Lucy being part wolf. I only see her in human form, anyway.” Come to think of it, I’ve only ever seen the guys in wolf form, not the girls.
He sighed and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me onto his lap. I gasped because when he touched me, it was so much more than a buzz now. It was like electricity, but not painful. The sensation was overwhelming, causing an overbearing, warm sensation that I never wanted to not feel again.
“Babe, I’m so damn sorry I put you through that,” he rasped and kissed the top of my head. “If I’d known—”
