Shit!
“I need a fucking condom.”
“No, you don’t.”
“Lola, I’m clean and all, but—”
“I have an IUD. And you’re the only one I’ve been with.”
I wanted to ask her since when, but when I felt her nails scratch over my back, I forgot. Those would leave a mark as well. I lowered my hand to her pussy and flicked her swollen nub. It must have been painful. She jittered in response, gasped, and smiled.
“Come for me, Lola.”
I flicked her again. Her arms tightened and I felt small jitters fly through her body.
“That’s it, my queen. Come for me and we’ll move onto your ass.” I tightened my hold on her hips and felt her thighs squeeze my torso. Her head flew back and she shook in my arms. Sweat dripped down her chest as I pushed in twice more and lost it, spilling inside her.
I slowly withdrew but kept her in my arms as I carried her to the back of the plane toward the bathroom. Thankfully this wasn’t just any airplane, and the accommodations were larger than those on commercial carriers. I set Lola down and turned on the shower.
“Is this safe?” she asked.
“What do you mean?”
“Showering and flying.”
“What are you afraid of?”
“I don’t know. The water shutting off when I’m soaped up. I mean, where is all this water coming from? We’re mid-air. It’s not like there’s a tank full of it, right? Also, the plane plummeting to earth thing kind of scares me.”
I laughed then quickly kissed her before more silliness came out of her delicious mouth. “I didn’t think there was much that scared you. Come on. Let’s take your mind off the fact that we’re ten thousand feet up in the air.”
“That’s not helping.”
“Will this help?”
I kissed her again, but this time without that animalistic need I’d felt moments earlier. It was a tender kiss, full of gratitude for trusting me and promises of what was still to come. She nodded her reply, keeping her lips sealed over my mouth, and I guided her into the shower and turned the knob. Lola didn’t even flinch at the initial spray of cold water. We both needed to cool off before we landed, though feeling my dick grow in response to her stroking hand, I doubted we’d get the chance to.
In a few hours we’d be trekking across the desert toward the small town of Pace, where Lola’s client – and fifty million dollars – were waiting to be found.
Chapter 8
Lola
Ifell asleep in Brook’s arms after the shower, as soon as we lay down on the larger sofa in the back. I didn’t want to, but exhaustion took over. I was still angry at him for teasing me about the flight, though. More than that, I was furious that he’d been so immature about Kate’s involvement with Cortez. I had never taken him for a rude man; but then again, maybe I didn’t really know him. Maybe all the great sex couldn’t heal two torn souls. He might not have said it to me, but my gut told me that the past troubled him as much as it troubled me. My gut was usually right.
It was in his arms that I dreamt about that day, full of promises and heartaches, that had stolen my future. It ached deep in my chest. At times, it felt like I was breathing in fire; then I felt the comfort of a warm body, and the nightmare vanished. After that, I dreamt about Brook. He was standing in my hallway wearing a white half-opened shirt, his hands in the pockets of his white slacks. It made me happy seeing him there. He was exactly whom I needed at the moment. When I heard a girl’s giggle from behind him, I woke up. The plane had just touched the ground, jolting me awake on Brook’s lap. He gently combed his fingers through my hair, calming the unsettling feeling I had in my chest.
I didn’t move until the plane stopped. It wasn’t until then that I noticed I wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
“You okay?” he asked
“Yeah, just a weird dream. We’ve landed?” We were still in the back of the plane where I’d slept the entire flight.
“I never thought that such a risk-loving woman would be afraid of flying.”
“Who says I’m risk-loving?”
He gave me a mocking look.
