She opened her mouth in protest but I shut her up by sealing her lips with mine, hoping I could hold onto our connection, praying that not all was lost. Instant relief washed over me the moment our mouths touched. Each time I kissed her, it felt like I’d waited years to feel the gentle texture of her mouth.
