The night was perfect. The stars and the fire, the dark and the light, the yin and yang of their bodies, all fit together perfectly.

She threw her head back and stared up at the universe as she rode her man, celebrating being alive the most ancient and primal of rituals between human beings.

Trevor gripped her hips with his big hands, pulling her down onto his shaft with more force and more speed as the thrust up into her. She relaxed in his grip and let him move her body, finding the rhythm he set and matching it quickly.

Eventually, he grew dissatisfied with that and reached up to wrap his arms around her waist. He pulled her down onto him and then rolled over, never leaving the tight sheath of her body.

“My turn,” he declared.

She smiled up at him and latched her legs around his hips, pulling him even deeper into her. Using her heels, she urged him to drive into her deeper and faster.

He obliged, planting his hands on the ground on either side of her head and pounding into her with abandon. The hard ground beneath her gave no cushion, and she absorbed the force of his lovemaking joyously.

“Are you happy now?” she asked him.

His gaze, glazed over with lust and pleasure, struggled to focus. “Huh?”

“Are you happy?” She surged up with her hips, clutching at his erection hard with her internal muscles, sucking him down into her, milking his body with hers.

His eyes practically rolled back in his head.

“Are you happy?” she insisted.

“Hell, yes, I’m happy. You and I have the best sex I’ve ever experienced.”

“That’s pleasure. Are. You. Happy?” She touched his chest with her finger. “In here. In your heart?”

He stopped moving to consider her question, but she was having none of that. She pushed her hips up hard against his, keeping the rhythm of their sex in spite of his momentary distraction.

His attention snapped back to the sex they were having. With a low growl, he took control once more, crashing into her, now, demanding a response from her. She was happy to oblige and cried out as a huge orgasm grew deep in her belly, building and building until it exploded out of her violently.

She keened wordlessly as it tore through her, and Trevor slapped his hand over her mouth to muffle the sound. She went completely taut beneath him, freezing as the pleasure stretched her to breaking. It was as if all the cells in her body were expanding away from one another. As if she built into her own private supernova.

And he was the trigger. He smashed into her one last time and went still against her, arching into her in one endless breath out of time. His entire body clenched and then released into her explosively. He cried out against her shoulder as his orgasm erupted violently, tearing him into his individual molecules, as well.

All at once, the pleasure collapsed in on her and then exploded in another gigantic orgasm that destroyed her from the inside out.

She shouted against his hand and shuddered violently from head to foot before finally going limp in an excess of pleasure. He, too, had gone boneless and heavy on top of her, panting hard.

He started to roll away from her, but she wrapped her arms around him fiercely and silently demanded that he stay right where he was, deliciously crushing her and acting as a human blanket.

Their bodies were still joined, and she became aware of how truly perfectly they fit each other. Their legs tangled together, and it was the most natural thing in the world to lay here with him like this.

She gradually registered that he was breathing hard, but in perfect sync with her. Even their mutual athleticism matched as if they’d been made for each other.

At length, she gathered her scattered thoughts and registered the glow of the fire’s embers, small pebbles poking into her back uncomfortably but not painfully. She even registered the hair on his chest against her cheek.

This was perfection. This, right here.

“I’ll ask again, Trevor. Are you happy?”

“In this moment…in this place…with you…like this…” He paused a long time before finishing, but finally said quietly, “Yes. I am.”

“I rest my case.”

“But real life isn’t this simple.” He rolled to her side away from the fire, sandwiching her from the back with his body heat and from the front with the heat emanating from the fire.

“Sure, it is,” she disagreed. “What is life but a whole string of tiny moments like this one strung together?”
