"She's okay." I shifted Cam's weight in my arms, her head rolling against my shoulder. "But we need to get her back to the room and sober her up."

I locked eyes with Colton, taking one deliberate step closer. "If you ever touch her again, I'll make sure you never walk again."

And I meant that. I couldn't get past what might have happened if I hadn't shown up. My gaze flashed up to Kaia and then to Jax, and I realized Jax and Kaia wouldn't have let anything happen to her.

I carried Cam into the hotel and onto the elevator. "Cam is crashing in my room tonight so I can keep an eye on her. Do you want to stay too, Kai?" I didn't want Kaia to spend all night worrying about her.

"I'm crashing with Kai." Jax scrubbed a hand across his stubbled jaw, exchanging a loaded glance with Kaia. "Owen is... Occupying my room."

The elevator doors chimed open. I adjusted Cam against my chest, her breath warm against my neck. "I'm in 6578 if you want to check on her."

Kaia's fingers twisted in the hem of her shirt. "Call me if anything changes."

I rounded a corner going left, and Jax and Kaia went in the opposite direction.

Chapter 5

Camryn

Sitting on the edge of the bed, I leaned forward with my elbows on my knees and my head in my hands, trying to stop the room from spinning.

"What are you doing here?" My words came out in a slur as I struggled to focus on his face. "I thought you were leaving for Atlanta." It was the whole reason I'd had so much to drink because saying goodbye to him hurt a lot more than it should have, and I'd tried to drown the hurt in tequila.

"The gig was canceled, so I'm staying. Well, for a little while, anyway." He squatted in front of me, and my gaze lifted to meet his.

"A little while?"

"It's not public information yet, but we are booked for Rockfest." My face lit up for him. "And after, we are leaving to tour with Wicked Sinners." My chest tightened with a mixture of sadness to lose him and excitement for him because that was huge.

"That's freaking awesome, Trystan."

"Are you okay?" He brushed my hair out of my face, and I glanced up at him through my lashes. I nodded as my cheeks heated.

I was a mess, and what was worse was that I was a mess because of him. I smelled like a bar, my clothes disheveled, my makeup faded, and my hair a tangled mess, and he... Well, he was perfect.

"What's going on, Cam? I've never seen you this trashed before." I shrugged. There was no way I was going to admit that I was sad, so I let Colton feed me drink after drink. "Colton Hunt?" He rose to his full height, and my gaze followed him. "Would you have spent the night with him?"

"I thought we had a don't ask, don't tell relationship." Shoving his hand in his pocket, his gaze locked with mine. "That's what you wanted."

His chest rose and fell with deep, slow breaths as he ran a finger over his sharp jaw like he was debating his next words. "Seeing his hands on you..." He paused, not taking his eyes off me. "I wanted to break his fingers."

"Are you jealous?" I pushed off the bed to my feet and stepped into him holding his gaze. A sudden boost of confidence surged through me.

The corners of his lips twitched into a cocky but playful smirk, but he caught me off guard and I winced when his hand roughly gripped my jaw, forcing my chin up.

My breath stilled.

"Yes." He dropped his head, his mouth lingering over mine. So close I could feel the heat of his words feathering across my lips. "Do you want me to say it?" My brain was in a fog. I couldn't think straight with him this close.

I nodded, not breaking eye contact. The air between us buzzed with so much electricity I thought it might explode. "You are mine, Cam." I sucked in a sharp breath. "I don't want toshare you. I want to throw you over my shoulder, carry you to the bathroom and fuck you against the shower wall until you don't remember any man but me."

My mouth went dry.

Holy good God of glory.

My tongue slipped out, wetting my dry lips and brushing across his. "Then do it."

My back slammed against the wall. I hadn't even realized we were moving.
