"So I should date them both?"

"That's not exactly what I was saying." She chuckled. "But it's not a terrible idea." She shrugged. "Who knows how you'll feel once your memories come back."

"If they come back."

"They will." She smiled. "There's no reason to think they won't." I wished I could fall asleep and wake up without memory loss, but that also terrified me. I knew a lot went down from that night in the bar with Jax until I lost my memories, and it was scary how remembering would affect my life and how I felt about Jax.

"Enough about me." I smirked. "What's up with you and Trystan? Or are you and Owen a thing?" I felt like I was missing so much between the memory loss and being asleep for five days.

She pulled her legs into the chair and wrapped her arms around her legs. "It's complicated."

"I've got time, so spill the tea."

"Honestly, I don't know what's going on. Trystan's only here because of what happened to you, and now that you're better, he'll be leaving again soon, but..." She trailed off, pressing her lips into a thin line. "Since he's been here, it's like nothing changed. It's like he never left. It's like he never broke my heart by not inviting me to his show." I nodded, completely understanding where she was going. Knowing he didn't want to see her hurt her more than his leaving. "It's like we fell right back into our old routines without a word of what's going on between us."

"Why don't you ask him?"

"I guess I'm scared of his answer." She cocked her head to the side, forcing a smile. "That's one thing I've always loved and hated about Trystan; no matter how hard it is to hear, he will always give you the truth."

"Why do you keep putting yourself through this?" My brows pinched. "Why don't you end it and give Owen a real shot?"

"Trystan is the right man, but it's the wrong time. He wants to go out on tour and be free, and if I'm still waiting when he gets back, then I guess we get to give this a real shot."

"Or he comes back only to leave again."

She nodded. "I could end up waiting forever for something that may never happen. I don't want to be his backup plan."

"Sounds like you have a pretty important decision to make, too."

She nodded. "Yeah." I knew Trystan cared about Cam, but I also knew he'd push the limits as long as she let him.

It felt good to be home and, even more than that, having a moment of quiet to collect my thoughts. My entire family had made it their mission to entertain me all day. While I did enjoy having everyone home and in one room for once, I was glad it was over.

Trystan had plans with Cam, my dad and Liz were going out for the evening, Syn and Harper had plans, and Jax... Well, I didn't know what Jax's plans were because he'd been the first to bail without saying a word.

My gaze flicked up when I heard the door from the kitchen to the living room open. "You hungry?" Trystan asked, strolling around the couch wearing a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and a white t-shirt. He didn't look dressed to go out with Cam tonight. "I can go pick something up or order something."

"I thought you had plans with Cam tonight?"

"I do, but I can cancel if you want company." He sank onto the couch next to me. There was no way I was going to be the reason Cam and Trystan didn't have a conversation that they both needed to have. "I'm sure Cam would understand." I knewshe would, but they needed this time together, and I was okay with being alone.

"No..." I started.

"I'll keep her company." We both turned to see Jax standing with food in the doorway. "That is if you want pizza and wings from Fazzoli's." My mouth literally started to water. Fazzoli's was my favorite. Fazzoli's special wing sauce and homemade pizzas were to die for.

"Go." I smiled at Trystan. "Have fun tonight."

Trystan nodded and pushed off the couch. "I will see you two later then."

"Hey, Tryst," I said. "When do you leave to go back on tour?"

"Tomorrow unless you need me." I shook my head. I wasn't the one who needed him. "You two have fun." He winked and strolled out of the room.

My gaze followed Jax's as he set the food on the large coffee table. An awkward silence filled the room. Something I don't remember ever happening between us, even when he'd caught me watching him half-naked. Thankfully, Jax didn't let the silence last long, leaving me to wonder if I was the only one who sensed the situation's awkwardness. He had all his memories, so this probably wasn't weird for him; it was normal.

"I was thinking we could hang out tonight, eat, watch a movie, and maybe talk if you want."
