“But what about the other things like a maid of honor, best man, or who’ll walk me down the aisle?”

He shrugs. “I can be all that?”

“Really?” Mckenna and I both say.

Gangs nods. “Of course. It’d be an honor/”

Now I’m the one jumping up and down. I can’t contain my giddiness. My wolf celebrates the same way, begging for the wedding to be today.

I look at my bride. “I’m up for it if you are.”

She kisses me. “Absolutely.”

MCKENNA

“Oh wow...” I’ve never seen a view of the red rocks like this. It’s absolutely beautiful. The clear blue sky as far as the eye can see above. Only broken up by the rock formations as they seemingly shine in the sunlight.

Leave it to the shifter clans to know a place as beautiful as this. To think I will get married here. How did I get so lucky?

I take in the view while standing outside a small woodland chapel in the old Big Sky territory, now Sand Sky. It’s not a fancy or grand building. But I don’t need fancy or grand.

All I want on my wedding day is Mace, the love of my life. I would’ve been happy just going down to the court house or driving to Vegas to get married. Mace wanted something a little more traditional, I guess this is where his parents got married. Anything for him.

The wind blows past me, and my dress flows with the current. Maybe I did want one thing that was fancy or grand. This dress is gorgeous, and it makes me feel that way too. I can’t move my legs much but I just know Mace’s jaw will hit the floor when he sees me.

“Are you ready?” I turn my head to see Gnash stepping out of the church towards me.

“Absolutely.”

Gnash offers his arm and I take it. He walks me back to the church. We stop just outside the door. Gnash knocks on the door three times in quick succession and, inside, music starts playing.

The doors open and we step inside and my eyes immediately land on Mace, at the end of the aisle. He looks incredible. Gnash and Drario must have had to fight him into that suit, and I’d say it was worth it.

The church is filled with members of the newly formed Sand Sky Clan. As Gnash walks me down the aisle, they all look at me with proud and happy smiles. I can instantly sense the overwhelming feeling of love in this building.

As we get closer to Mace, I can tell my dress did the trick. His eyes are glistening as he’s clearly fighting back tears. Though I can’t say I blame him, I can feel the tears falling down my face too.

“Mckenna…” We finally get down the aisle and Mace takes my hands. “You look gorgeous.”

“You don’t look so bad yourself.” I can barely get that much out before more tears start to fall, shutting me up. But Mace laughs and squeezes my hands.

Drario steps between us and begins officiating. I wish I could say I heard a single word he said. But it was all drowned out. The only thing I could focus on was the handsome face in front of me. The handsome face looking back at me with all the love in the world.

After who knows how long, I feel a pause in Drario’s words. I then notice that everyone is looking at me. I should’ve been paying attention.

“I do.” God, I hope this is the right part. Everyone in the church laughs.

“Fair enough,” Drario says with a chuckle. “Let’s skip to that part. And do you Mace take Mckenna-”

“I do.” Mace squeezes my hand and I squeeze back.

“Wow, we’re really speeding through this today,” Drario says as the church laughs. “I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.”

Mace pulls me in for a kiss. The church erupts with cheers. It’s like the best kiss I’ve ever had in my life. I could get used to a lifetime of this.

Music starts playing again as Mace leads me back out the church as all our guests cheer. We get outside the church and pause. We both look at each other.
