Shayla frowned, "I don't think you understand just how dangerous this is, Tyson. That guy that got in couldn't have just been random. I'm pretty sure that was a test run to see how it went. There will be more people coming, Tyson. It would help if you took this seriously. I'm planning on putting an entire team here."

Tyson narrowed his eyes in anger at her, "I'm taking this seriously. I know that my fucking maid is going to be pissed when she fucking hears how many shoes are going to be walking on my fucking hardwood floors."

Shayla wanted to rip Tyson's head off, but she kept her cool. She looked at Gil, who was flipping through apps on his phone. So, he was of no help.

She pinched the bridge of her nose, "Would you stop talking about your bloody floors and take this seriously for a moment? Tyson, this could be life or death for you if we don't have enough bodies here."

Tyson clenched his jaw, and Gil looked up from his phone. He looked between Shayla and Tyson, and he burst out with a smile, "Hey! I have a brilliant idea!"

"Is it leaving?" Tyson asked once more, rubbing his eyes.

"No, Mr. Scrudge. Why don't we just move Tyson to my summer home in Montana? It's really remote in the middle of nowhere, and it's the most beautiful home possible. It's by a lake at least twenty minutes away from the closest town."

Tyson scowled at him, "No. I'm not leaving. I'm not running."

"Now, wait a second." Shayla looked at Gil, "That's not a terrible idea, actually. Besides, it wouldn't look like running, Tyson. Who doesn't take a trip away from their life when a close friend dies? It would actually make logical sense."

"Seriously?" Tyson looked at her with wide eyes. "I thought we were going to be smart about this."

Gil spoke up, leaning forward on the couch. "It's got plenty of space, and you don't even have to have people inside the house, which would make you happy, Tyson." Gil looked at him, "You would get the security you need, but you wouldn't even know that they are there. My house is a mile from other houses, so it isn't like there are many places to hide."

Tyson scowled, and Shayla smiled, "I like the idea."

"And." Gil spoke up once more, "It's a great place to relax, which Tyson you look like you need."

"What is that exactly supposed to mean?"

"You look like shit," Gil responded with a smirk.

Tyson growled, shaking his head. He looked away, and Shayla crossed her arms, "Well? It would be perfect."

"Fine." Tyson grumbled, "But not a single security person inside the house. Not a damn step, or I'm coming back home."

Tyson was slightly surprised at how nice Gil's place was. He was even more shocked that he's never been there before. He'd been friends with Gil for years, and he'd never been to his summer house.

Gil looked over from the seat, able to read Tyson's mind, "I bought this place a few months ago. Unfortunately, we've been so busy I haven't gotten the time to ask you to come down."

Tyson nodded at him, looking at the beach house. It was a large three-story house with large bay windows that gave you a gorgeous view of the lake. It had a wrap-around porch that had plenty of space to sit and watch the sunset or to tan.

It had been built next to the Rockies, and as Gil had promised, it was twenty minutes away from the closest town. The nearest house was a mile and a half away.

"Why did you buy this place?"

"To get away." Gil stopped the car in front of the house and turned the car off. Tyson could hear the three other cars behind them that followed them in. "Sometimes, you just need to get away from everything."

Tyson nodded, understanding that. He hopped out, taking a deep breath of the fresh air. He had to admit being out of the big city was refreshing. He was already feeling the ability to unwind from the stress.

Everyone settled into rooms, and Tyson noticed that the security detail did stay outside. He stepped out at sunset, and Shayla stood near the edge of the porch. He walked up behind her, and she turned around.

"Do you care if I take a nice flight?"

She looked back towards the water and sighed, "Go ahead. I doubt anyone can take you down in your dragon form. Just don't be gone too long."

He headed down the stairs, walking along the beach. He kept walking until he decided to shift. He took flight, and he felt refreshed the longer he flew. Gil wasn't lying when he said, sometimes you just need to get away.
