Jackson
“You’re the worst person I’ve ever played with. I’m beginning to regret this invite,” Aiden groused down my headset. I didn’t bother responding. I was too busy trying to steal a Porsche from a drug dealer before he caught me. “I could be eating Alyssa’s pussy right now, instead I’m watching my ex-roommate sweat while he fails at virtual carjacking.”
“Who’s Alyssa?” Liam asked with amusement. Both were supposed to be looking out for me, but neither of them were doing their job. A couple of rogue henchmen had made their way in a few times. This was the issue when you played with people who didn’t match your skill level. You were left with their vulnerabilities.
“You don’t need to know who Alyssa is. She’s never going to hear that obnoxiously charming British accent of yours.”
“Is that… Uh, was that a compliment?”
“You’re not helping,” I muttered, still unable to connect these cables. The viewer count was racking up. More than fifty thousand accounts were watching us; one of the highest rates we’d ever had. I couldn’t fail and expect them to keep watching.
“Is that showing on your screen?” Aiden asked. “The blue lights? If we get caught, I’m going to be the one to hand you in.”
“That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard,” Liam replied. “If you do that, then they’ll just take you away too.”
“No, they won’t. Have you seen me? People can’t get enough of a shirtless guy in a mask.”
“Will you both shut up,” I yelled, doing my best to connect the two wires so I could steal this damn car, but it didn’t matter how gentle I was with the controller, I couldn’t make it work. “I’m trying to win this for us, and your constant complaining is making that very difficult.”
“Whoa, the chat’s blowing up. Apparently, you sound sexy all riled up, J,” Aiden said.
“Is that what people are focused on? Not my abs?” Liam added.
I’d had enough of them, so I used my shoulder to shunt the headset forward. It wasn’t completely off, but it meant their voices were duller, making it easier to concentrate.
“Nearly there,” I said into the mic, pressing the buttons to try to connect the two wires.
“You better hurry. Do you hear those sirens on your side? Because I do.”
“Shut up, Aiden,” Liam said, and I cheered when I finally did it, then quickly made my avatar jump into the car.
As I was starting it up, Thea lifted one of my hands away from the controller, leaving space for her to tuck between my legs and sit on my thigh.
“Hey.” The moment I tore my gaze from the screen, I nearly lost the game entirely. Thea was in a little skirt that barely covered her thighs, her red sweater stretched tight over her curves, doing a piss-poor job of containing her breasts. My pulse kicked up instantly.
What I wouldn’t give to slip my hand beneath that fabric, to palm her. To feel her.
Before I could process just how badly I wanted her, she leaned in, pressing a soft, teasing kiss to my lips. But it wasn’t the kiss that did me in… it was what came after.
She shifted rubbing her ass against my crotch as she settled into my lap, like she was either getting comfortable, or trying to get me hard.
Hell. Maybe both.
Either way, it was working.
Heat surged through me, my grip on the controller tightening, but Thea? She barely seemed to notice the effect she had on me, her attention shifting back to my main screen like she hadn’t just completely obliterated my ability to focus.
I swallowed hard, my jaw clenching.
“Oh, is this the infamous Pyro?” Liam asked.
Game over.
My gaze flicked past Thea, landing on the screen beside her—the one she hadn’t noticed yet. My camera was on, and Aiden and Liam were watching us.
“Now I understand why you didn’t want to share,” Liam added, a smirk evident in his tone. “Jackson, mate. You’ve pulled.”
“That’s Thea,” Aiden cut in. “And does Tanner know she kisses you like that?”
