Page 24 of My Fantasy Daddies

“Did either of you get to eat dinner?”I asked, crossing to the bed where my phone was.“I was going to ask the cook to bring me a salad.”

Otto stretched out on the floor, groaning like his entire body ached. It probably did. While I had been tucked in tight, snuggling Parker’s warm body, my guards had been taking shifts watching out for me.“I need protein.”

“I’ll give you all the meat you want later,” Astro told him with a wink, making himself comfortable on my bed.“I want cake.”

“Yes!”I squealed, sending a quick text to the weekend cook.“I need all the chocolate and carbs for this.”

Folding my legs, I grabbed a pillow to hug to my chest, mentally preparing myself to call Amelia.I had a dozen missed calls from the daddies, and I could have easily let them distract me, but I needed to check on my friend.

Before I could swipe my thumb over the screen, however, my door opened.Otto jumped up from the floor so fast I wondered how he didn’t snap his knees or spine.Eloise strutted into my personal domain, an ice pack pressed to her swollen, broken face.

“God, can you just go away!”I shouted, losing my patience.

She smirked, finally getting an emotional reaction from me.“Even if you did fuck Benson and his friends last night, it won’t last. They’re just using you to make me jealous.Wait and see.I’ll be the one in their beds, and you’ll be wishing you were me.”

“Keep trying to antagonize me, Eloise.Next time, I might break your fucking neck instead of your nose.”

Peter appeared behind her, his jaw so tight he was going to need dental work.“Sorry, Esme. We’re going back to New Jersey now.”

“The next time you don’t keep us updated about trips home, you and Joseph will be the ones bleeding,” Otto warned, following the other man to the door as he carried a weirdly demure Eloise out of my room.“We can’t do our job if you aren’t doing yours.I will bury you if you keep putting Esme at risk like this.”

“We’re going, I swear.She needs a CT scan anyway.Pretty sure she has a concussion.”

“Good.Get her a psychiatric evaluation while you’re at it,” Otto threw at him as he shut the door and flipped the locks.

It wasn’t the first time he’d suggested it, but so far, neither of my sister’s guards had taken him seriously.

“Fuck the cake.I need alcohol,” I told Astro, who hadn’t even moved from his position across the bed.

“You have a chemistry lab test tomorrow. You don’t want to deal with a hangover while handling flammables. How upset would Lia be if you caught the science wing on fire for a fourth time this term?”

“Fine,” I gave in.“But only because I don’t want to make Lia cry.”

Esme

Astro lifted his chin toward my phone.“You’re getting a call.”

Seeing it was my daddies, I bit my lip, unsure what to do.I wanted to hear their voices again.Ached for it.But Eloise complicated whatever I thought I might be feeling.“I shouldn’t.”

“Hundred percent disagree. You had fun with them, and they want more. With you, Es—not Psycho Barbie.”He nudged my hand that was holding the phone when I couldn’t fight a grin.“Answer it.Give them a chance. You know you want more than just a night with them.”

“Okay.Okay, fine,” I gave in, and we both knew it hadn’t been hard for him to convince me.Feeling a thrill go through me, I accepted the incoming call and lifted the phone to my ear.“Hi, Daddies.”

Astro covered his mouth with both hands to stop his squeal.Otto sent him an indulgent smile, shaking his head as he took the empty spot on my bed close enough to listen to my call.

“Hey, little one,” Parker greeted.

“Tell us you changed your mind, baby girl,” Malcolm urged.

If he knew how badly I wanted to, he would have been landing his helicopter on the roof.I kinda wished he would. But that was a fairy-tale wish.I didn’t have a villainous monster for him to slay before whisking me away.Eloise was already gone, and I needed to get my head on straight before I made any decisions about the three men who had all my emotions scrambled in my head.

My silence caused him to groan.“Baby girl.”

“Don’t rush her, Mal,” Benson advised.“Esme, baby, we’ll be patient, I swear. We don’t want to scare you, angel.”

But maybe I wanted to be rushed.

Astro scooted closer, tilting his head so he could hear better.I moved in a little to accommodate him.“I really do have school tomorrow.I was just reminded of an exam I need to be rested for in the morning.”
