Page 95 of Knot His Reality

Taylor looks like she doesn’t believe me, looking up when the server comes back with our drinks.

“Do you know what you’d like to eat?”

Damn it. I haven’t even cracked open the menu yet.

“Hmm…yes.” Taylor nods, asking some questions about a few of the items on the menu before ordering. I hurriedly open the menu to see what sounds good but freeze when I hear Taylor order for me.

Shock keeps me quiet as the server leaves, my eyes locked on Taylor.

When she glances up, she lifts her eyebrows. “Is something wrong?”

“Uhh…yeah. You just ordered for me.”

“I did. That’s what alphas do for omegas. You’re so indecisive. If we left it up to you, we’d be here all night. It’s just easier this way.”

I shake my head as I blink at her. Surely, she didn’t just say that. Except I know she did.

How in the world haven’t I realized this was how she thought of omegas? I can’t recall a single indication in any of our conversations that would lead me to believe that she held these beliefs.

“Yeah, no. That’s not okay. First of all, I’m perfectly capable of making decisions. I’ve been taking care of myself for the last fifteen years since I revealed as an omega. I don’t need or want anyone to decide for me.” I lay my hands on the table and lean forward. “If you’re interested in an omega who needs to be taken care of, then you should probably go look for one who has just revealed. I’ve never heard anyone speak such blatantly false information to my face before. I saw the bullshit that happened last season onHeated, but I thought that was as bad as it got.”

She just blinks at me, her surprise clear as I stand up. “You’re welcome to remain here and enjoy the dinner you ordered, but I’ll be heading back to the compound now. I’ve never been so damn insulted in my life, and I’ve heard plenty of bullshit thrown at me over the years.”

Without waiting for a response, I turn on my heel and head for where Mike and Lucas are standing near the staircase. “I want to go back to the compound. I don’t know what Taylor plans to do, but I refuse to be in a car with her.”

“Of course, Remy. I’ll call and have another car sent. Mike will stay with her while I take you home.” Lucas hesitates. “Are you okay?”

“I don’t want to talk about it. Mike, will you please apologize to the owners and let them know I’ll plan another date here later in the season.”

I’m already halfway down the stairs when Mike calls back. “Got it, Remy.”

Lucas struggles to get in front of me before we reach the door, and I know I should slow down, but I just can’t. There’s so much rage rushing through me right now.

The thirty-minute ride home doesn’t do much to cool my temper. Bree and Tessa are waiting for me when I step out, but I just shake my head.

“I don’t want to talk about it. Can you please ask Pack Hawthorne to come to my suite?”

Bree nods. “We’re on it. Let us know if there’s anything else you need, okay?”

Rather than answer, I nod and march up the walkway. Once I make it back to my suite, I relax slightly and roll my neck from side to side in an attempt to relieve some of the tension. A lot of good the massage from Wednesday is doing me now.

Within five minutes, there’s a knock on my door. Swinging the door open, I throw myself into Milo’s arms, which probably looks hilarious considering our similar builds.

“Whoa, what’s going on?” Milo asks, and I shake my head.

“Come with me to my nest, please?”

When I pull back, I find Milo staring at Eric and Victoria with wide eyes.

“Are you sure, omega?” Eric asks quietly, and I nod.

“Please. I don’t want to be alone. I’m not ready to talk about it. I just want the three of you in my nest with me.”

Victoria nods, taking my hand and leading me back into the suite. “We’d love nothing more. Show me your nest?”

They follow me through my bedroom and into the closet. I unlock it with the scanner and then step inside to flick on the fairy lights. They’re set on the lowest setting and it’s perfect.

“Come in. Come in. My nest back home isn’t quite like this, but I do really like how it’s set up,” I tell them, shutting the door before making my way to the center. I grab my favorite pillow and blanket and lay down, already feeling calmer. “Please hold me.”
