Damn. I hope this heat ends soon.

The next time I wake up, I’m neither in the shower nor getting fucked. I also don’t feel like my body is on fire. Rubbing my face with my hands, I realize my heat has broken.

I’m sore, obviously having been fucked well over the last however many days. I’m also starving.

There’s movement beside me as I roll onto my side, finding Milo passed out in front of me.

“You’re awake?” Camila asks, running her hand down my back. “Are you with us?”

Turning my head, I capture her lips with mine. “Yup. It’s just me now. No more omega terror demanding that you all fuck me.”

“Thank the fates.” She sighs. “Your heat lasted for a full seven days. Or maybe a little over because you woke up around midnight to be fucked, but you’ve been sleeping since then. We figured once you hit eight solid hours of sleep, you were probably good. Milo and I offered to stay with you while everyone cleaned up and ate a full meal. I’m assuming you’re hungry based on the sounds your stomach is making?”

“Starving,” I admit. “Did I not eat at all while I was out?”

“Not much,” Milo answers. “We kept trying to feed you, but you were not cooperative. We managed to get you to eat a few bites in between fucking, but you definitely didn’t eat enough.”

My body is sticky with sweat and cum, and it’s starting to bother me. “I need a shower. Will the two of you join me?”

“Absolutely.” Milo kisses me before helping me to my feet. They both look exhausted, and I feel bad because I’m sure the others don’t look much better.

They help me into the shower, and we all wash off with no funny business. Mainly because I think I might bite one of them if they get in the way of me eating as soon as possible.

We tumble out of the shower and dress clumsily before hurrying to the dining room. The conversation immediately quiets as we appear.

“You’re awake. I bet you’re hungry. I’m going to make you a plate.” Victoria jumps to her feet and hurries over to the buffet, where she loads a plate with food.

Carter also stands, moving around to take my hand. “Why don’t the two of you get some food and I’ll get Remy settled?”

Neither of them argues, and a few minutes later, we’re all seated at the table and eating.

Bree and Tessa are here with my pack too, surprising me.

Conversation carries on around the table, but I appreciate that no one tries to talk to me as I devour the first plate of food.

“Are you still hungry?” Aubrey asks, already pushing to his feet.

I nod. “Another plate about the same size would be good. Thank you.”

“How are you feeling, Remy?” I glance to the other end of the table at Bree’s question, looking between her and Tessa.

“Tired. A little sore, but good. Really good.”

Tessa hums. “Good. I’m glad to hear that. Everyone was getting a little worried about how long your heat was going on. If it hadn’t broken this morning, we were going to have to bring in a doctor. I’m glad it didn’t come to that.”

“I’m pretty sure I know it went on so long,” I admit as Aubrey sets my food in front of me. “Thank you, Aubrey. My omega knew there were fertile women that he wanted to impregnate. Which, of course, couldn’t happen because we’re all on birth control. That’s why I was lost to the haze from day three to six. The only reason my heat probably broke is because I was starving and exhausted. Hopefully, it won’t happen again.”

“Is that a thing that happens to male omegas?” Eric asks, looking appalled.

I shrug. “Not all the time, but yes. I think knowing that you and Milo have been trying to get Victoria pregnant added to it. When omegas go into heat, our entire purpose becomes to reproduce. A female omega’s heat will end when she’s pregnant. A male omega’s heat can end once he knows he’s impregnated his partner. Things get a little strange when there is more than one female in a pack because I’ll want to get them both pregnant. The things you didn’t know you signed up for.”

Riley snorts. “We might have known the specifics, but we knew what we were getting into, I can assure you of that.”

“I guess we’ll need to leave soon.” Picking up my fork, I start shoveling food into my mouth. I burned a lot of calories over the last few days without taking in enough. I’m going to need to eat twice as much as usual for the next few days until my body levels out.

“There’s no rush,” Bree assures me. “Take your time. You’re all exhausted. Stay until you’ve rested enough. We still have things to finish up here, and we weren’t expecting you to go into heat so soon. I promise, you’re fine.”

Quinn sighs. “That’s good because we need to come up with a game plan. Like, where are we going to live? Are we going to buy a new house? Move into someone’s? Do any of us even have a house big enough for all of us? I’m still living in a condo. Everyone kept telling me to buy a house, so I had one when I found an omega, but I never did.”
