“Really?”
She nods. “The idea is that a wet knot is harder to untie, a bond that is nearly impossible to break.”
I sniff, blinking back more tears as I look out at the miserable weather, feeling doubt creep in when a thunderclap booms in the sky. “Are you going to tell me now that was heaven clapping?”
“Of course it was, precious. How could heaven be silent when one of their own angels is about to tie the knot?”
My head whips around at the familiar voice, and standing just inside the room is my fiancé. In a few hours, that is going to change. God, he looks so handsome standing there in a tuxedo with his golden hair perfectly styled for the occasion. My big bad biker cleaned up in an expertly tailored tuxedo looks every bit as handsome as he does when he’s in jeans and leather.
“Saint,” I whimper before I remember that he’s not supposed to see me before the ceremony. “Y-you shouldn’t be here right now.”
He chuckles, walking into the room. Ingrid flashes me a smile before excusing herself and closing the door behind her, leaving me alone with my giant.
“I couldn’t wait to see you, sweetheart.”
I start to argue before I decide it’s pointless. He’s here, and I missed him too. I am not going to deny myself the chance to be with him. “You look handsome, Saint. I can’t believe I am marrying you.”
“No, it’s me who is in disbelief,” he says, walking up to me. He wraps an arm around my waist and yanks me hard against him. I gasp at the desire I read in his eyes, fueling my own. “You look gorgeous, precious.”
“In a robe?” I giggle, pointing out that I haven’t even put on my wedding dress yet.
“You could wear rags, and I would still think you’re the most gorgeous woman in the world,” he says, leaning down and grazing his lips over my jaw as he speaks. Goosebumps lick up my body as his warm breath caresses my skin and heat climbs spreads from my core, making that secret spot between my lips flood with arousal. God, this man just knows the right buttons to push to have me craving him. “Fuck, baby, you feel so good. I was only coming in to check on you. Knew you’d be worried about the rain, but now…”
“But now?”
“Now I want you naked,” he grinds out, tugging at the belt and untying my robe. It falls open to reveal my naked body underneath, and I watch his breath saw in and out as he looks down at my nude body. “Jesus Christ.”
“Saint, we shouldn’t,” I protest weakly, but I know there’s no stopping this man, and a part of me wants me to be the voice of reason he doesn’t listen to. I don’t want him to stop. I never want him to stop.
“I can’t believe I get to have this for the rest of my life,” he says, yanking the robe off my shoulders, and the thing pools on the floor behind me. Something about being naked next to my fully dressed fiancé has more heat gathering in my stomach. I whimper when he cups my breasts and kneads them in those massive hands, pinching my nipples between his fingers. “You’re so goddamned sexy, Jade.”
“And yours,” I whisper breathlessly.
“Goddamn right, you’re mine,” he growls, wrapping his arms around me and lifting me effortlessly. He carries me to the bed that sits in the center of the room. There are a bunch of things spread out on it that he sweeps off with his forearm before laying me down. “Every inch of this perfect body belongs to me. You belong to me, Jade,” he rasps, leaning down and dragging his mouth down my throat. I tilt my head back, allowing him access to my body, offering myself to him as I have so many times over the past months, as I will for the rest of our lives, loving every moment his lips touch my skin.
“Want you, Saint,” I whimper when he slides his hand to my sex to find me wet. “Please.”
He pulls down his zipper and braces his other hand over my head. My legs open on their own, his eyes flaring with such primal need as he settles between my thighs. “I’m going to spend my life worshipping this body, baby,” he promises, fisting his erection and rubbing it against my pulsing entrance. “You are the most precious thing in my life, and I’ll spend the rest of my life showing you that.”
I cup his jaw, falling impossibly deeper in love with this man. “I love you,” I whisper, which morphs into a gasp when he thrusts forward, burying his cock inside of me.
“Fuck, baby,” he growls as he fills me with his shaft, stretching me as he always does with his thickness. I wrap my legs around him, clawing his shoulders and sturdy back, urging him to move and give us the sweet release we both crave. The one only he can provide.
“Take me, Saint,” I breathe. “Hard and fast. Make me yours!”
With a rough growl, he pins me to the bed and does just that. A series of moans and pleasured sobs fill the room as he presses me into the mattress, his thrusts brutal as he slams into me, and I revel in every moment. I have no doubt there will be claw marks on his tux, but knowing Saint, he’ll probably wear it like a badge of honor like he does his club’s patch.
His mouth slams down on me as he pounds into me, dominating every bit of me until we’re both on the edge of a cliff, and when we fall, we fall together. Thunder booms through the air, muting my own scream and his rough grunt. “I love you, Jade, so fucking much!”
Our bodies strain together, his shaking alongside mine as pleasure consumes us, and I see and feel nothing but him. “I love you,” I breathe, hugging him tight in my arms and thanking the heavens for this man. Another thunderclap shatters the air, but this time, I don’t feel the sadness that was there only moments ago. “I can’t wait to share forever with you.”
“Mine,” he whispers, hugging me close, and as I lie in his embrace, my eyes shift to the window just as the sky lights up and thunder tears through the air once more, and for the first time, I understand what Ingrid was talking about.
A fresh start.
Saint and I started off unconventionally, with me on a stage about to be auctioned to the highest bidder until he stepped in. That was our first storm to weather together and it ended up being the best thing that ever happened to us.
The scariest night of my life is also one my favorites thanks to Saint.
And today, we’re about to head into another storm. This one in the most literal sense, but I’ll brave any storm as long as he’s beside me.
