Page 90 of One Wild Omega

Did his omega not want to formally register as alpha and omega?

Tanner looked up at him. “It’s just a piece of paper. The province would recognize us, yada, yada… but we know we belong together. That’s all that matters.”

Fitz lifted his hand to Tanner’s cheek. He wouldn’t pressure Tanner into more than the omega was willing to give. Not after all he’d done, but he wanted more. He wanted a ring on his omega’s finger and for the whole world to know they were together.

Forever.

“Whatever you want,” Fitz answered, trying to hide the disappointment he felt.

Family Dinner…

Tanner gripped Fitz’s hand in an iron grip as they walked together up the front path to the Walker home. He’d picked and joked with Fitz about not wanting him there and now Tanner felt so much anxiety about meeting the full Walker clan that he almost did an about face and walked away.

What if they didn’t like him?

Harry had been cool, but what if the others weren’t?

Would they dislike him because he was different? The house he’d lived in most of his life had been ten times the size of the one he was headed to. Everything about his life was so vastly different than theirs.

He’d heard Fitz’s comments about his silver spoon. Sure, his alpha had seemed to get over it, but would his brothers? His parents?

A ran a hand over his recently dyed braids. He’d allowed his hair to fade while he’d been wallowing in his depression, so it had been past time to do it. Tanner touched his piercings over his ear, checking that everything was in place.

“You’re gorgeous… and they’re going to love you,” Fitz said as they paused at the door. “But not anywhere near as much as I love you.”

Tanner gasped. It was the first mention of love… while he’d loved this man a little even through the heartache, the past weeks of their bond growing had tightened the sensation. “You love me?”

Fitz ran his thumb over Tanner’s lower lip before leaning down for a slow, soft kiss. “I do.”

“And I lo—”

The door whipped open before he could finish. A man his own height and build stood there with a big smile before he was pulled into a massive hug.

“It’s so good to finally meet you, Tanner!”

“Tan… this is my papa. Morgan Walker.”

“It’s so nice to meet you, Mr. Walker.”

“Call me Morgan.”

Tanner grinned. “Okay… Morgan.”

Fitz’s papa threaded his fingers through those on one of Tanner’s hands and drew him inside the small house. Tanner looked around briefly. Sure, it was small, but it was warm and inviting. Morgan led him into a room that was filled to the rafters with people.

“This is my alpha, Fitz’s father—Creed Walker.”

“Nice to meet you,” Creed said, taking Tanner’s hand.

“And you as well,” Tanner replied before Morgan introduced him to everyone.

Tanner met all the Walker clan and was then introduced to mates, nephews, grandparents, cousins, and uncles. It was all a whirlwind, but everyone seemed very excited to meet him. He was told all kinds of stories about Fitz growing up, every embarrassing tidbit.

Fitz didn’t move far from him. His hand was almost always on Tanner. Touching his neck… his arm… marking him. It wasn’t the first time he’d seen Fitz doing it and wondered if the alpha even realized he was doing it.

Finally, they were able to sneak into one of the bedrooms alone. Tanner took a deep breath and sighed. “You havesooooomuch family.”
