Page 77 of One Wild Omega

Great. More for the pity party. “Tell whoever it is to leave, please,” he asked Raimy.

* * * *

The door opened, but it wasn’t Tanner. Yet an omega glared at him, all the same.

“Ahhh… Rammy, right?”

“Ray-me,” the guy corrected.

“Tanner’s friend?”

“Yup,” the omega said, crossing his arms over his chest and glaring even harder. “Hisbestfriend. The kind that protect them like family.”

Fitz frowned, confused. “Well, I went to the studio and I found some paintings that were okay. I’ve got them in my pickup outside.”

The glare faltered a little. “You went? And dug through what was left?”

Fitz nodded. “Tanner wasn’t up to it… so I did what I could.”

An almost smile played over Raimy’s lips. “He said he didn’t want any company… so hold on and let me tell him the good news. Be right back.”

The door shut on him… only to be opened a couple of minutes later.

“He says to take them to the dump,” Raimy said, looking distraught. He shook his head vigorously. “Tanner doesn’t want them anymore.” Raimy looked over his shoulder. “Hey, Tan, I’m headed out, babe. Get some rest.”

The omega pulled the door shut. “You arenotgoing to pitch those out. He’s not in his right mind.”

“I wouldn’t have,” Fitz said. “But I don’t have any space to put them at my place.”

“Well, there’s always Quinn’s,” Raimy said, but quickly backtracked. “But maybe that’s a bad idea.”

“Their place is huge. They’d have room.”

“Yeah but Bellamy… and the baby… maybe we shouldn’t bother them.”

Fitz stood up straighter. “What do you know?”

“Huh?”

“If he’s yourbestfriend, the kind that’s like family—then he’s told you about me and Bellamy, right?”

Raimy didn’t say a word.

“Did he also tell you I’m his alpha?”

“I thought you didn’t know?”

“I wasn’t sure.” Fitz smiled broadly. “Until now. He denied it.”

Raimy gasped. “That’s underhanded!”

“Did he also tell you about theScentexissue?”

Raimy frowned. “WhatScentexissue?”

Fitz eyed the door. “How about you follow me to Quinn and Bellamy’s place. You can help me unload the truck… and I’ll tell youallabout it while we’re there.”

A little over an hour later, they were at Quinn’s, the truck was half unloaded, and Raimy was hitting him with a barrage of questions. While he wasn’t accustomed to explaining his actions to a near stranger, he knew Tanner and Raimy were tight.
