“I’ll get my men on it,” Deacon answered.
Jaeger smiled. “We’re forever in your debt.”
“No,” Deacon said.“Helping us destroy Zed will be all the repayment we need.” He rose to his feet, sensing his mate awakening across the hall.“I’ll arrange whatever you need and get you out of here as soon as possible.”
After a glance at both men, Deacon strode from the room and nearly crashed into Bull.
“There you are,” the rhino said.“We need to talk.”
“Indeed we do.”

Is the search over?
Bull followed Deacon into the hospital room.
“There you are,” Glenn said, frowning.“You shouldn’t be up.”
Bull watched as Glenn worried over Deacon, urging the big male back into the too-small bed. Once he was tucked in tight, Glenn turned to Bull.“Don’t tire him out.”
“Yes, sir,” Bull said, a smile on his lips.
“I’m going to go find something to eat,” Glenn said to Deacon.“By the time I come back, you two will be done.”
Deacon chuckled. “Okay.”
Glenn eyed them both before exiting the room.
Once they were alone, the question screaming in his mind for the last hour or so was on his lips… yet he was afraid to ask it.
He was even more afraid of the answer.
“You’ve seen him,” Deacon said quietly.
Bull lifted his gaze, instantly knowing who he was.
Is he my father?
Deacon smiled softly. “I think it’s who you’ve been looking for all these years… at least, his scent is soo close to yours there has to be some connection between you both.”
“It’s been so long,” Bull said before settling down in the recliner across from the bed. “I mean, I never met him.My mother was pregnant with me when he was taken. But she’d escaped after filling one of his bags with a few things… and a shirt he’d worn was inside. It smelled like him… I’ve had the damned thing so long it’s in tatters now and the scent is nearly gone. So faint… I’m just not sure.”
“He hasn’t shifted into human yet?”
Bull shook his head.“He seems to be fighting the shots Killian and Finn have been giving him. He’s in much worse shape than the others we’ve seen—the others began to heal within days. This beast screams in pain all day and night.”
“The others… they’ve told us the spirits within them were screaming, trying to take control. Their minds were in chaos… and the serum the docs made quiets the voices enough to allow them to find control.”
“Right,” Bull said.“Your point?”
“If this is your father… who is a wererhino, not a full shifter like the others we’ve saved… perhaps he’s not strong enough to take control over the shifters within him, even if they’re quieted. Maybe he needs something more.”
“Like what?”
Deacon’s stare moved to the window. He was silent a moment. “He needs a dragon.”
Bull frowned.“What?”
