“Perhaps you could do as I did… I shifted within Luca’s mind and escaped, still in dragon form. It wasn’t real… I only wish I had realized it sooner that I could shift there. You could do the same.”
“I don’t have the mental powers you do.I can push and prod, but I can’t enter another’s mind,” Jaeger said.“I’ll have to find another way.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be,” Jaeger said.“You have your dragon and your mate… there’s hope for me yet. I will find happiness in yours.”
Drake frowned, but didn’t respond—the fire dragon interrupted them before he could.
“Are you truly able to shift now?” Deacon asked Drake.
“Yes,” Drake said.
“I have someone in need of a dragon,” Deacon said with a smile.
