Walking into his shop to see Addison standingthere made the tension in his neck and shoulders dissipate almost instantly. HearingLucas ask to see her tattoo brought it back full force.
He hadn’t meant to say what he said, but evenjust the thought of Lucas seeing a glimpse of Addison’s smooth back was drivinghim crazy. He’d never been the jealous type and he had no goddamn idea how toprocess it. But from the look Addison was giving him, his current method wasn’texactly working.
“If I want to show Lucas my tattoo, I will,”she said.
He brushed past them and set the bag fromNan’s on the drawing table. He turned to see Lucas raising an eyebrow atAddie.
“Where exactly did you get inked, Addie?”
She rolled her eyes. “On my back. My upperback.” She glanced at Preacher with ayou’re being ridiculouslook thatpissed him off even more.
“Can I help you with something?” Preachersaid to Lucas.
“I was thinking about getting another tattoo.Since Addison and I were in the area, I thought I’d pop in and see some of yourwork,” Lucas said. He glanced at Addison and then back to Preacher with anI’mbeing your wingmanlook that made Preacher grit his teeth.
“I’m fully booked until October,” he said.“You should talk to Nix.” He pointed at Nix who was wiping down the tattoo he’djust finished.
Nix glanced up and nodded to Lucas. “Hey.Give me a few minutes and we can chat.”
“He can take a look at my ink,” the dweebytourist said. He was nearly vibrating with excitement. “Both of you can.”
Before Nix could stop him, he’d jumped up andcrossed the shop to Lucas and Addison. He stuck his arm out with a proud grin. The name “Bethany” was written across his forearm and Lucas said, “That looksgood.”
“Thank you.” The tourist turned to Addison.“It’s my girl’s name. I got it done as a surprise for her.”
“I’m sure she’ll love it,” Addison said witha warm smile.
Great. Now Preacher was fucking jealous ofa skinny little accountant.
“I hope so.” He returned to Nix’s stationand sat down.
Nix pointed to some binders sitting on theedge of the glass coffee table. “That’s some of my art if you want to flipthrough it while I finish up.”
“Sure.” Lucas grabbed a binder and startedlooking through it.
Preacher stood in front of Addie. “Hey.”
“Hello.”
She wasn’t outright glaring at him but theusual warmth in her eyes wasn’t there and it was fucking killing him. “Youneed me to look at your tattoo?”
“What? Uh, no, it’s good,” she said. “I’monly here because Lucas wanted to stop in.”
“What about your piercing? Does it need tobe looked at?” His gaze dropped to her perfect tits, a part of him soothed bythe soft blush that immediately coloured her cheeks.
“No, it’s fine.”
“You sure about that?” He let his voice dropan octave. “Maybe I should have a quick look at it to check for infection.”
She glanced around the shop before sayingin a quiet voice, “You just saw it last night.”
“I was distracted by your pretty pussy.”
Her soft blush intensified, and she bit herbottom lip. “Don’t be rude.”
“I’m being honest, not rude,” he said. “Besides,it’s not my fault you have such a sweet tasting pussy.”
“Behave,” she said under her breath as Nixand the tourist walked to the counter.
