“Much better,” I said.

“This is the only time you can do this.”

“Not true. I can pick you up whenever I want.” I kissed him, forgetting that we were in the middle of the water in the middle of a crowded beach in the middle of summer. Julian made me forget that time existed.

“Are you having a good birthday?” he asked.

“The best.”

“How’s thirty-one treating you?”

“So far, so good.” This was the best birthday weekend. It was filled with my guy, good weather, good food, and good sex. And if all went well tomorrow, a very good victory over the Bradfords.

Julian got a curious look on his face, his lips curling into a mischievous smile.

“What?” I asked.

“I’ve been thinking. There’s one item left on my list that never got checked off. I’ve never topped. And since today is your birthday, you are technically a thirty-one-year-old half virgin.”

My breath hitched. Despite the cool water, I was flooded with heat. Getting topped by Julian had been a fantasy lingering in my mind for a while. As we got more comfortable with sex, I got more intrigued about what it felt like for him. Was the grass greener on the other side?

“I thought that you only wanted to bottom because you’d never mentioned otherwise,” I said.

“I do enjoy it. But I want to try this. I guess I had it in my head that since you came from the straight world, bottoming was off limits.”

“I’m not part of the straight world anymore.”

“Is this something you might want to do?” he asked.

Getting railed by Julian?

“Hell yeah.” I held up my hand for a high-five. “Let’s do this!”

That night, we were doing this.

“Relax.” Julian put a calming hand on my chest.

We sat on the bed in the hotel room sans clothes. In a first, Julian had gotten naked before me.

“I’m good,” I said, but Julian could tell that was minor bullshit. “I’m just psyching myself up.”

“You mean trying to unlearn all of the heterosexual messaging about how men are inherently weak if they bottom.”

Man, he was smart. His brain was as much a turn on as his body.

“I’m going to set the mood.” Julian began lighting candles around the room, giving the bed an ethereal glow. This might’ve been against hotel policy, but no fire alarms had gone off yet.

“You brought candles on our vacation?” I asked.

“I came prepared,” he said as he tossed lube onto the bed. He turned to me, his strong body lit in soft light.

Our lips met in a hungry kiss that instantly revved me up. Julian pulled me to the edge of the bed and hugged me in a tight embrace, his lips never leaving mine. The man knew how to take the wheel, and he would make sure this was an incredible night for me.

He kissed down my chest, his lips firecrackers on my skin. My cock was in its full and upright position. Julian took me in his mouth.

“Fuck, yeah.” I dipped my head back, soaking in the hot feeling of his tongue sweeping over my dick. He teased and tortured me with slow strokes that took their sweet time. I got lost in the heat of his mouth. Julian had that power over me. He had gotten more confident, more aggressive in bed thanks to all his experience. It didn’t matter that he’d lost his v-card late. The man was a really fast learner.
