“Maybe I’ll walk you to class to make sure you don’t lose your way,” she stated.
I snorted. “Why would I lose my way, Riley?”
A shadow cast over her pretty face as she bowed her head slightly. “Don’t hurt him, Gunner,” she said under her breath.
“Who?” I quipped to see how far I could push it with her. “Who exactly are you talking about here?”
She rolled her eyes behind those glasses, which looked different from the ones she usually wore. “I messaged you earlier. Did you get my message?”
She sighed as if the burden of the world was on her shoulders. “My phone broke, so…I need a new one. But I saw you parked down the road, and you followed me for a while until I went into class. Now, it’s me following you.”
“It looks like you’re walking beside me, Riley, not behind me,” I corrected her. “How did your phone break?”
Her breath hitched, and she was surprised I asked that question. “Did Ronan not tell you?”
I cringed. “Tell me what?”
“Why are you following Shaun?” she asked again.
Her repeated suspicious question made me laugh. “I told you. We’re going to the same class.”
“It was I following you back there,” she pointed her finger behind her. “I took a shortcut to catch up to you, so I followed you, yet you didn’t notice. Perhaps I am the stalker now, not you.”
“Perhaps you are.” I leaned down, pressing my lips against her temple. “Stalk me as much as you want as it only gets me hard and hungry to suck your pussy.”
She grunted disapprovingly as her smooth cheeks blushed, and a guy in front of us looked back to see who said such a scandalous thing, then sized us up. God, I loved embarrassing her. I didn’t care if people knew I was fucking the girl beside me, except I wasn’t allowed to fuck her or touch her, according to Mikky. That was going to be fucking hard considering the gorgeous flowery scent rising off her and rosy swollen lips and curious eyes behind glasses. She was so fucking cute.
She waited a few beats before whispering, “You might regret that.”
“Getting hard over you? I’ll never regret that. Getting hard now, actually,” I joked. I wasn’t hard because my focus was on the target, but again, it grabbed the attention of the students in front of us, which made Riley blush some more.
“Keep your voice down,” she hissed, patting her hot cheek with her palm and glancing about her, worried someone important might hear.
I grinned, enjoying this taunting game. “Are you going to tell me how your phone broke?” I asked again because I suspected it had something to do with that piece of shit Shaun whose fat head I imagine crushed like a watermelon.
“A mere accident,” she replied as I reached into my pocket, pulled out my wallet, flipped it open, and pulled out four one-hundred-dollar bills.
When I handed them to her, she shrank away from me as if I were holding out a venomous snake. “What are you doing?”
“Giving you money to buy a phone. How much would you like? Five hundred? Six hundred?” I offered the cash to her, but she stepped away from me, horrified.
“I have a job. I make my own money,” she hissed.
“Well, you need to get a phone today, so I can keep my eye on you when I can’t be nearby,” I explained.
“When you can’t stalk me, you mean?” she grumbled, making me laugh again.
“Correct,” I replied, just as melonhead Shaun and Callum turned left instead of right. When Shaun did that, he glanced behind him at us. I shot him a sharp wave to let him know I was watching him, and the color almost drained from his face. That face looked like a guilty one whenever I saw one.
“Don’t,” Riley warned, touching my forearm. “Please.”
I shrugged my shoulders, playing dumb. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, Riley. Like I said, I’m meandering to class. Perfectly innocent.”
As soon as Shaun saw me, he changed tack and headed toward class, knowing he was safer in a crowd than alone. Callum sensed something was off and followed Shaun’s gaze, and he suddenly tensed up. I couldn’t believe how stupid these two were. Did they think they could fuck me over and get away with it?
“Ronan said you were harassed in the basement under the science library, so I’m curious why you went down there?” I asked to see what she’d say.
“I was looking for you,” she replied.
