“I’ll do anything for you. So to be clear, you’ll marry me?”
“Yes.”
“We’ll have children.”
“Yes.”
“And horses.”
“Yes.”
“And dogs?”
Patsy grinned.
“Yes,” she shouted.
“And what I say goes.”
“No.” She laughed when he growled.
“Oh well, I tried. I know we’ll have arguments but there’s nothing I love more than making up with you. I about died the day you left me. I knew I had to do whatever it took to get you back to me.”
Tears rolled down her face as she continued to kiss him. The man of her dreams—her big bad FBI agent was going to be her husband.
“I love you, Agent Turner,” she said against his lips.
“I’ll even teach you how to drive a straight stick,” he said with a grin.
“Now I know you love me.” She laughed.
“Patsy?” Micah cupped her face and stared down into her eyes.
“Yes?”
“I surrender,” he whispered against her lips.
“Oh, Micah, I do too. I love you,” she said softly against his lips.
Patsy felt him grin.
“I love you too…damn pixie.”
Epilogue
The bride and her party sat inside the back room of the little church sipping champagne. Patsy couldn’t keep the smile off her face. She glanced over to Bella who smirked at her. She raised a quizzical eyebrow at her best friend, and laughed.
“He didn’t appeal to you, huh?” Bella laughed.
“Do you honestly think I would ever admit that to any of you? I’d never live it down.”
“I’m glad you finally came to your senses. That man is fine,” Chloe Bateman said.
“I think we all have fine men. I can’t imagine Lucas not being in my life,” Emily Taggart said before taking a sip of her champagne.
“I think I’ll definitely like having Micah as a son in-law,” Lorraine Murphy said smiling. “Your dad likes him too.”
“I’m so happy that you and Daddy like him but I’d marry him even if you didn’t.” Patsy laughed.
