Five weeks later
Sara
Los Angeles. The City of Angels.
You can do this. You have the skills. You’re strong. You’re beautiful. You’re sassy. You’re the winner.
Ha. A winner. Although that was the truth. I’d won so many things in the last few weeks including my freedom from financial burdens and the nightmares that had plagued me.
In fighting for what I wanted, my skills seemed to shine.
Well, it didn’t hurt that I had an incredibly handsome bigwig gaming professional on my side. I allowed myself to giggle as I glanced into the mirror. I had to admit even to myself I looked hot.
I mean blazing hot.
A new bright red suit.
A pair of heels to die for.
My hair was perfectly styled, cut and curled, but no longer kept tightly wound in a bun. I didn’t mind flaunting my feminine wiles one little bit.
Plus, my skin was shimmering and it wasn’t from the new, more expensive makeup than I used to purchase at the local big box discount store. Nope. I’d splurged, including buying fire engine red lipstick. My skin was luminous from the hard fucking the night before.
With my contacts and a wicked smile, I was ready to face the production team. If they had any chance of making a movie about Dark Nights, they would need to go through me.
This badass woman.
I took a step away, thinking about the last few weeks. They’d been a whirlwind, including learning more about my craft. I’d been promoted to an executive position, although I’d need to prove my worth. With a salary to match and a brand-new car and condo, I was ready for anything tossed my way.
Of course, my new digs were thanks mostly to Zach. My boyfriend. My sizzling, passionate boyfriend. I had a feeling he was the one, but we were taking it day at a time.
I no longer thought about the hunt that had almost cost me my life. Or the crazy man who’d pretended to be Zach.
My Seducer.
Just breathing the man’s name brought me tingles. I was ready for the show. Suddenly, my entire body crackled with electricity. A shadow appeared in the corner of my eye.
“You’re not supposed to be here,” I all but whispered.
“Who said I ever followed rules?”
“You truly are a bad man.”
He appeared just behind me, looking even more handsome in his new Italian suit. “Hold on. I thought you said I had decent qualities.”
“Not always and for that, I’m grateful.”
As he took a deep breath, he brushed his fingers down both arms. The tingling shifted straight to my pussy. My nipples were instantly aroused from his light touch alone. How was it possible that I was so enthralled with this man?
“Well, then I think I need to remind you what being bad feels like,” he growled in response as he nuzzled against my ear.
“Here? In the movie production company restroom?” As always, a rush of excitement tore through me.
He pressed kisses against my neck, dragging his tongue up and down. When he bit down on my ear, the slice of pain was incredible. I closed my eyes, shuddering in his hold.
My legs were quivering, my mind fuzzy just like it had been every time we’d engaged in passion.
Very dark passion.
