“Sorry it took so long,” I said, standing in front of him.
He looked up at me and let out a loud breath. “You have really long hair,” he said as his gaze roamed over my upper body and arms. “And a lot of tattoos.”
Smiling, I grabbed the empty glass and his phone from him and placed both items on the dresser. I gave the door a slight push to close it partially, then stepped back in front of Alex.
“Are you nervous?” I asked in a gentle voice, taking his glasses off. He had a nice face, and in the soft light, his eyes almost appeared pitch black. Now that I looked at him more closely, I noticed his hairstyle didn’t look as perfect as it seemed at the beginning. A strand had come loose and peeked over his forehead, making him seem somewhat wild.
“A little,” he replied in a low voice.
I stepped closer and stroked his cheek. Then I leaned down and kissed him on the mouth. His lips were warm and soft. I felt his breath, and his strong, resinous scent filled my nose. This will be a walk in the park, I thought happily, breaking away from him. Just the sight of his open lips, longing for more, turned me on.
“So, Superman,” I said, unbuttoning his shirt. “What do you like?”
“What do you mean?” he asked, looking confused, as I gently pushed him back.
I climbed onto the bed and leaned over him. “Boyfriend sex? BDSM games? Or should I just take you really hard?”
For a brief moment, something flickered in his face that I couldn’t interpret. When he finally dared to touch me, he caressed my lips, my cheek, and ran his fingers through my damp hair. He slid his hand into my neck and pulled me close. This time, the kiss was harder and more demanding, as if he wanted to prove something to himself, yet his movements were somehow stiff.
But ultimately, I didn’t care. I had been through so many guys that a little tension didn’t surprise me anymore. Besides, since I felt the satin sheet against my skin, I felt like I was in seventh heaven. No matter how the sex would be, I was in for a wonderfully restful night.
Alex turned his head away and gasped for air.
“Everything okay?” I asked, gently brushing a strand of hair from his forehead.
“Yeah ... yeah.”
His answer was not very convincing, and as I leaned down to him and our bodies touched, I felt the pounding of his heart in his chest.
“Is something wrong?”
“I ... hhhhh ... it’s all right,” he assured me and kissed me again.
But three seconds later, he pushed me away, his body curling up as he gasped for air. Because of the fresh sheets, I almost fell off the bed and stared at him in shock.
“Did I do something wrong?”
“No,” he croaked. He struggled out of bed and ran out of the room. “Be right back.”
I watched him, puzzled, as he staggered down the hall and disappeared into the bathroom, slamming the door shut behind him. I threw myself on my back and spread my arms out. It wasn’t the first time I was lying on satin, but it was the first time that the resinous scent mixed with lavender awakened a feeling of security in me.
What’s wrong with him?
I raised my head, puzzled.
Why doesn’t he use the bathroom here?
I had experienced many strange situations before, but this one was somehow different. I started to worry, so I got up and went to check.

Alex
My lungs felt like they were on fire, and the pressure in my chest stole the last of my breath. I gasped and emitted wheezing sounds as I staggered into the bathroom and reached for the asthma spray. With trembling hands, I took aim, pumped a dose, and simultaneously took a deep breath. Then I held my breath and counted. My heart raced as I opened my mouth again and gasped for air. At least the medication worked fast, but such an attack drained my energy. I leaned on the sink with both hands, trying to calm down.
Damn, man!
