Suddenly, my worries seem to fade away and I begin to think how silly it was to question his devotion to me. He’s been proving that to me for a very long time, I’ve just been too blind to see it.
I was in good hands, that I knew for sure. “I do want to know.”
Grimm raises an eyebrow at me, “Are you sure, V? I don’t want you to be upset. You experienced something very traumatic and you may need a moment to handle that first.”
Shaking my head I protest, “No, Grimm. I want to be all in. I suffered at his hand for so long and I ended his life. It’s only right I know where his body ends up.”
Grimm is silent for a moment. He’s unsure if this is the best decision for me but he’s going to tell me anyway, I can see it in his expression. “Stop trying to save my innocence and tell me, please,” I beg.
“I’m going to chop up his body and stick him through a meat grinder.” He says bluntly. I break out into a laugh buckling over because holy fuck, was that unexpected. “Grimm, this is not the time for joking.” I clear my throat, trying to regain my composure.
His expression doesn’t falter, still the same straight face as when he told me he was going to grind up Leo into a big fucking pile of burger meat. There was no way he was serious.
My heart drops and my jaw falls slack, “Oh, you’re fucking serious?”
Nodding his head, he laughs and says, “You’d be surprised at how many people buy ground meat off of the dark web.”
Thelittle monsterin me, as Grimm likes to call it, comes to the forefront and takes over. Leaning over, I whisper into Grimm’s ear suggesting a deviation in his plan. I know I’ve done good when his own chiseled jaw drops, rendering him speechless.
“Yes, please. Let’s do that. Way better than what I said.” His hand slips under the blanket to adjust his cock and he groans. “Fuck, I’m so hard right now.”
Licking my lips, I rub my foot along his length. His stare meets mine as he slowly shakes his head. “No, little monster. No more tonight. I just want to hold you.” His arm wraps around my waist and we slide back into our respective spots from earlier. My head on his chest, his strong hands on my body, and hisfresh scent with a hint of pot was similar to what one would call, “heaven on earth.”
Safe in Grimm’s arms, I feel so ready for sleep to overtake me. But before I fall out, I hear his whispers. “I’m so proud of you, Verena. You got out. I’m happy you never stopped fighting for you. I’m happyInever stopped fighting for you. You’re my missing piece.”

GRIMM
Verena’s been sleeping soundlyfor hours. We came home and I washed off every inch of her body before giving her one of my old t-shirts and a pair of sweats. Her eyes instantly shut after our conversation ended and she’s been sleeping like a fucking rock ever since. I don’t want to move and disturb her peace, but I wanted to get a head start in mutilating Leo. I know she said she wants to be involved but personally, I think the action of murder was enough for her psyche for now.
My phone begins buzzing, taking my mind away from dipshit’s soulless body. Dad’s face and name light up my screen. Another invite to another dinner with people I don’t want to fucking be near. I’ll let it go to voicemail.
He leaves a message and my phone pings, notifying me, but then begins buzzing again. Verena stirs and I’ll be damned if I let the slightest pin drop disturb her rest. Her breathing returns to a soft, steady pace as she rolls over and out of my arms. I use the chance to leave the bed, creep down the stairs, and answer the phone.
“Hey, dad. What’s going on?” I ask, but we both know why he’s calling.
“My boy! How are you? I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve heard your voice.” He cheerily greets me.
Usually, I decline his dinner invitations through text. The RSB has always given me an excuse to miss. But I don’t want to hear the disappointment in his voice because I’m flaking, again. “I’m good, dad. Just been busy with school and The Brotherhood. Emmett’s been keeping my schedule filled with extracurriculars too.” I add with a tired chuckle.
“That’s good. Listen, I wanted to talk to you about dinner this weekend.”
There it is.
“I know it’s been hard building a relationship with your siblings but I think you should come home. It’ll be good for you, Grimm.” He says, his words as unconvincing as the first time he gave me this speech. “I’d love to see you, too. You’re still the baby after all and I’m tired of family dinners without my boy. So don’t try to find an excuse to get out of this one. Come for your old man if not for anything…or anyone else.”
Sighing, I drop my head. Being around my brothers and sister does not sound like a fun way to spend my Saturday night.
In fact, I was planning to spend this Saturday night buried to the fucking hilt inside the little monster snoozing peacefully in my bed.
“Alright. I’ll be there. I’m bringing someone.” I answer.
I’m met with silence for a moment before dad whispers his response. “Is it a special someone?” His tone returns back to normal before continuing. “Because that would be wonderfu-“
“Yes. She’s special.” I cut him off. “We’ll come by just for dinner. Once the plates are clear, we’re out the door.”
“Alright, alright. We’ll start with dinner. I can’t wait to meet her. And I know Flame can’t wait to see you, either.” He states and my heart swells at the thought of my baby girl.
