“More.” He was mad for her. “Take more.” Dropping to his knees, he hauled her up and used his mouth, just as ruthlessly as he had used his fingers.
His tongue plunged into her and had her crying out again. He brought her up and over and had the tears rolling down her cheeks. Never in her life had she experienced anything like this, and it overwhelmed her.
“Jon…” Her lips were quivering, her body imploding.
“Yes baby?” He covered her body with his, entering her slowly until he was fully sheathed.
“I love you so much.”
With a fevered groan, he crushed her mouth with his, body driving into hers as his control shattered into a million pieces.

He left her exhausted and sleeping the next morning. And stood there staring at her as he got dressed, silently so as not to disturb her. He had been hungry for her. He shook his head as he recalled how hungry. He made love to her three times.
Each time he told himself he would leave her to get some sleep, something had stirred inside him. She had agreed to be his wife and that was something he could not come to grips with.
He had been worrying himself to death over the last week, wondering if she was going to insist on going home. He meant what he said to her. He would have followed her and brought her back. Used any necessary means to get her to come back with him.
He knew she was accustomed to bright lights and restaurants just a few blocks away. She had told him about her apartment that was situated in the middle of a busy section of town.
She was a city girl – he was not. He could stand to be out in the busy thoroughfare for a week at most and then he would start pining for the quiet, the comfort the ranch had always brought him. He had everything he needed here, except her. And he had discovered that it would all mean nothing to him, if she wasn’t with him.
He would accompany her when she needed to travel. He understood that with her line of work, she had to be on the move.He would go with her. Set things in place so that he could free himself to be with her.
He never dreamed he would find a woman who made him feel as if he had sprouted wings. He loved her completely. And he was so happy, he felt as if he was walking on air.
First things first, turning away from her, he left the suite and bounded down the stairs.
He would send for a ring. Romano’s had an excellent ring collection. He had guessed her size and would call Monique personally.
He would… The thoughts tumbled to a halt when he went into the dining room to see his mother pouring coffee.
“Just in time.” She handed him a cup. “Bull and Jake already stopped by. A mare is foaling…” Her voice petered off as she got a look of his face. “What’s going on?”
He accepted the cup gratefully, wrapping his hands around its comforting warmth. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the room, mingling with the gentle morning light streaming through the windows. He took a tentative sip, gathering his thoughts.
"She's agreed to marry me," he said, his voice steady but brimming with emotion. "We're getting married."
His mother’s eyes widened with surprise before softening with joy. She reached out, placing a gentle hand on his arm. "Oh, sweetheart, that's wonderful news. I am so happy for you."
He nodded, a smile tugging at his lips. "She is. I can't imagine my life without her now. I’m going to do everything I can to make her happy."
His mother’s face lit up with pride. "I know you will. And she’s a lucky woman to have you."
They stood in companionable silence for a moment, savoring the happiness of the news they shared. Then, setting down his cup, he straightened. "I have a lot to do today. I want everything to be perfect for her.
I was thinking of sending for a ring from Romano’s. They have the best collection.” He hesitated briefly. “I know you probably don’t approve of her…”
“I was thinking of you,” she interrupted swiftly, “as long as she makes you happy, then I am all in. And I can see that she does. I have never seen you like this before.”
“I have never been like this before.” He shoved his hands in the pockets of his faded denims and rocked back on his heels, eyes gleaming. “She’s my heart.”
“I have to ask. Is she willing to live here with you?”
He nodded, a smile curving his lips. “I had my fears about that as well, but she considers the ranch her home. I know it will takesome getting used to for her, but I told her that whenever she wants to fly out, there are several options available. And I am going to accompany her. We’re thinking of December.”
His mother’s eyes widened.
