Hunter exhaled sharply, tension rippling through him. "I know. But knowing and believing are two different things."
Goliath clasped his shoulder, eyes sharp. "You do what you need to do. When the time comes, we end them."
Hunter’s jaw ticked, his fingers curling into fists. "Limb by fucking limb."
Later that day Sofia stood on the outskirts of the main room, watching the men prepare for war. It was brutal, calculated, and efficient. These weren’t just bikers; they were soldiers, warriors. But it wasn’t King, or Hunter, or even Goliath who held her attention. It was Frost.
He stood in the shadows, watching everything with cold, detached silence. There was something about him—something untouchable, unreadable. The men respected him, but they never truly looked at him.
"You’re staring," Siena said softly beside her, smirking.
Sofia blinked. "Who is he?"
Siena followed her gaze and sighed. "That’s Frost."
"I figured that out already," Sofia murmured, still studying him. "What’s his deal?"
Siena hesitated. "The men don’t talk about it, but know that he is one of the most loyal men you will ever come across. I have seen him fight and stand by his brothers unconditionally. Frost has this imposing exterior, but I know that secretly he is a real softy”.
Siena shook her head. "You don’t ask questions when a man has that kind of darkness in his eyes."
Just then Frost lifts his eyes to her as if he knows they are speaking about him. Sofia shivered, watching as Frost turns disappearing into the shadows like a ghost.
She felt the weight of a stare burning into her, and when she turned, she met Goliath’s intense golden gaze.
Her breath caught, his jaw was tight, a deep frown marring his rugged features. He had caught her looking at Frost. Heat flared in her cheeks, but she couldn’t tear her gaze away. Something dangerous flickered in his expression—possessiveness, jealousy, and something darker. From that moment on, the tension between them coiled tighter.
Throughout the day small touches lingered, scorching looks passed between them, and suddenly, neither of them was fully present in the club anymore. The conversations faded into the background, voices turning into static as their world narrowed to just them.
Goliath’s fingers brushed against hers as he reached for a knife on the table at lunch time, and electricity shot up her arm.
Sofia swallowed hard, her heart racing. This wasn’t normal, this wasn’t safe, and yet, she wanted more.
King’s voice snapped through the room, dragging Goliath’s focus back. "Do what you need to do but get your damn head in the game. We go to war soon, and I need my men focused."
The air between them had been charged all day. Unresolved, crackling with heat. Sofia knew she had already surrendered to whatever this was between them. But when she entered her room that night and found Goliath waiting for her, standing there like a predator waiting to strike, her pulse spiked.
He said nothing at first, just watched her, his golden eyes burning into her. "You said you’re staying."
She swallowed. "I meant it."
His jaw clenched, muscles rippling beneath his skin. Then he moved.
One second, she was standing in the middle of the room, and the next, she was pinned against the door, Goliath’s body pressing into hers.
"Say it again," he growled, his breath warm against her ear.
Sofia shuddered. "I’m staying."
A sound rumbled from deep in his chest—a growl, pure satisfaction and then he kissed her. It wasn’t gentle, nor soft. It was fierce, consuming, demanding. His hands were on her, gripping, exploring, owning.
Sofia’s breath hitched as he lifted her, her legs wrapping around his waist instinctively. She felt the raw power in him, the barely restrained need to claim her, to make her his.
"I’ve waited long enough," he rasped, trailing hot kisses down her neck, his hands making quick work of their clothes.
Sofia gasped as his bare skin met hers, heat radiating between them. Every touch ignited her, every kiss pushed her further into oblivion. He devoured her.
Her fingers dug into his back, her body arching into him as he pinned her beneath him on the bed.
