My eyes burned with rage as I watched my girl, her chin held high in defiance, walking back into the house. Every step she took was a battle cry against our twisted world, a world where we were forced to follow twisted rules and betray those we loved. With trembling hands, I helped her shower, taking great care to cleanse every inch of her body, tenderly washing away any trace of Theo and Kai.
I appreciated that they made sure to save her pussy for me, knowing that I was the only one allowed to come inside there. I didn’t even have to tell them. They knew how important she was to me. They did only what they had to, just enough to appease our fathers and grandfathers.
Oh, how I hated The Brotherhood, though. I wanted to burn the place down and leave them inside. But even as much as it killed me, I knew that if I tried to fight, they would hunt me down, and force me to watch as they defiled Mila in front of me. That was the damnable cycle we were born into, where we were the supposed protectors but also the corruptors, bound by archaic rules enforced by men. Mila was right to call out the patriarchy as outdated and oppressive. And I knew that a reckoning was coming, a war against those who wrongedus. My queen would lead the charge, seeking vengeance for what she endured. She would burn down their kingdom, and I would be right by her side, fanning the flames.
She kissed me on the lips, letting her lips linger a few seconds longer than usual. “Go get ready. Laurent has some work to do. I’ll be down shortly.”
“I’ll wait for you.”
“I’m okay, Archer. Really,” she promised.
But I didn’t want to leave her alone.
“I know you are, but I’m going to stay anyway. Theo and Kai are handling everything downstairs. You won’t even know I’m here.”
She gave me a small smile, rolling her eyes playfully, and she turned to head into the closet. I yanked her back to me, and she slammed into my chest. “Did you just roll your eyes at me?”
Her eyes widened, and then she licked her lips, taunting me. “If I did, what are you going to do about it?” she giggled, challenging me.
My hands reached up and cupped her face, tracing the curves of her cheeks and the sharp angles of her jawline. “I’m going to leave my handprints all across that beautiful ass of yours,” I threatened. “Once I’m done with you, you won’t even remember how to roll your eyes.”
She bit her lip, her eyes darkening with desire. “Promise?”
I smiled, letting my fingers linger on her face, worshiping her features. “I promise, Mila. Now, go get ready. I’ll be right here when you’re done.”
With a playful smirk, she turned away and disappeared into the closet, her laughter echoing through the room. I watched her retreating form, a smile tugging at my lips. My little rabbit was a queen, strong and unbroken. She was a force to be reckoned with, and I knew that the world would fall at her feet, just like I had.
My fingers were fumbling with the buttons on my vest when she emerged from the closet, glowing with radiance. Her brown eyes, like molten caramel, met mine, and I shivered. Dressed in a skin-tight black gown, every curve and contour of her body was accentuated, drawing me in like a moth to a flame. The sheer bodice was adorned with intricate, black fabric that seemed to dance around her, leadingthe eye down to a long slit that revealed her thigh. Feathers cascaded down her shoulders and flowed along the length of her dress like fiery wings with heels also adorned with feathers that traveled up her legs, adding a hint of wildness to her already alluring appearance. Her hair, dark as sin, was curled and pinned up on one side, revealing the smooth expanse of her neck. Blood-red lips parted slightly as she smiled at me, matching the intensity of her eyes lined with sharp black liner, framed by a mask with rabbit ears. She was a vision of danger and desire, ready to set the world ablaze with just one glance.
I couldn’t take my eyes off her. She was breathtaking, a goddess in the flesh. I stepped toward her, reaching out to trace the feathers on her gown.
“You look like you’re about to devour me,” she teased, her voice like velvet.
“I would if I could,” I replied, leaning in to kiss her. The taste of her lingered on my lips. She reached out to rub the remnants of her lipstick off my lips, and I captured her hand, kissing her fingers softly.
She blushed slightly at my touch, her eyes fluttering with desire. “We have a ball to get to, my love,” she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.
I ran my fingertips along the length of her arm, feeling the goosebumps that formed in response to my touch. “I’d rather lose myself in you,” I replied, my voice filled with longing.
“Soon,” she promised, taking my hand and leading me out of our bedroom and down the hallway, the sound of loud music meeting us.
The ballroom was a breathtaking sight, the room filled with guests wearing masks, each one more opulent than the last. Guests were gyrating on each other, kissing and touching, swimming in a sea of lust and desire. The air was thick with the scent of perfume, sweat, and sex. A sea of faces, each hiding their desires and secrets, masked by anonymity. And yet, among all the chaos, Mila and I were the only ones who knew each other’s secrets, the only ones who wore masks of love and trust.
Kai and Theo sat near the front of the room, Theo heavily petting and touching two women on his lap. Maddie and Lacey camerunning toward us, excitedly squealing when they saw Mila. I took my place on my throne and watched as my girl embraced her role, and felt a surge of pride as I caught sight of the envious glances from the other couples. She looked around, taking in the scene, and then back at me, a slight smirk tugging at the corners of her lips.

THIRTY-SEVEN
MILA
“Mila, this is the most amazing party I’ve ever been to,” Lacey yelled over the music.
She looked so happy…and drunk, dressed in a pink fluffy gown and a matching pink mask. I danced with her and Maddie, letting our bodies move seductively against each other. The music throbbed through our veins, the beat synching perfectly with our movements.
“What do you say we make this party a little more exciting?” Maddie asked, pulling out a baggie with little white pills and shaking it in front of us.
“Hell yes!” Lacey giggled, opening her mouth.
