His eyes darken, and I can practically see the icy mask falling back into place. His maddening pace slows, and I barely suppress the groan of disappointment. “We’re done.” He jerks out of me, and I whine my disapproval.
“Antonio!”
He sits up, his erection thick and angry between us. It doesn’t escape my attention that he’s made me come twice now, and he has yet to climax once. “Just tell me what’s on your mind. I can’t focus now.”
I suck my bottom lip between my teeth as I regard him. “When you were unconscious, Elena came.”
“How?”
“I went into the city and found her contact info.”
A flicker of a smile curls the corner of his lip before it morphs into a scowl. “Wait. Why would you expose yourself like that? Why would you do something so risky?”
“I thought you were dying,” I hiss.
“So you should have let me,” he growls.
“You can’t be serious.”
“I’m not worth saving, Serena. When are you going to get that through your thick skull?”
“Oh, fuck you, Toni.”
“I was trying to, but then you froze… And you wouldn’t tell me what happened because clearly something did happen.”
“It’s nothing.”
“Is it because of what Otto did to you?”
“No!” I hiss. “This has nothing to do with that piece of shit. I want this…” I motion to his dick, which still stands erect and pulsing between us.
“Then what?”
“I’m meeting my cousin Alessandro in Milano in two days. When Elena was here, I used her phone to call Isabella.”
“Raf knows?” His brows arch, his voice rising a few octaves.
I nod slowly.
“Cazzo, Serena.”
“I couldn’t get a hold of my parents, and I had to tell someone what was happening.” A twist of anger coats my words, bubbling up inside. “I have been more than a good hostage. How could I not contact my family when you were at death’s door?”
“You shouldn’t have just contacted them, cazzo. You should have left me!”
“It’s not as easy as it sounds. I ran into some guys in town and?—”
“What?” he roars, his eyes widening to twin pools of looming darkness. “Why didn’t you tell me that when you got here?”
I shrug. “You were all half-naked and alive and I don’t know… It must have been the adrenaline of the chase and?—”
“The chase?” His eyes turn murderous as he tosses me a towel. “Explain now.”
“So we’re really not going to finish?” Yes, I’m fully aware of how desperate and needy I sound.
“Not until you tell me exactly what happened in the past two days since I’ve been unconscious.”
I blow out a frustrated breath and toss him back the towel. “You need it more than I do. I have new clothes.” Tossing him a cheeky grin, I search the floor for my discarded panties and jeans.
