I swallow hard, my mouth going dry. Did I say that? I think back, yes, I did. Shit.

“Listen, Raider-”

“Oh, no, I think we’re done talking.”

He lunges for me, but I let out a shriek and whirl, running, racing through the lounge and into the kitchen. He’s right on my heels. I let out a shriek when I feel his hand skim my back, but I keep moving, staying just ahead of him.

I spot Callan and Kit sitting on the couch, their mouths open in shock. My mouth would be open in shock, too.

I whirl and race up the stairs, rushing for the room where I might still be saved. Wren is sitting on his bed when I dive in and bury myself in his blankets, and just like I anticipated, Raider pauses.

“Alpha?” Raider murmurs.

I feel Wren tense, and then relax. He shifts his weight, and then the blanket is yanked off of me as Raider collapses on Wren’s chest. Both of their arms loop around me, holding me to them.

It’s ridiculous. A hysterical laugh bubbles up, but my amusement dies quickly.

That feeling of something more is back in the air. Raider watches me, and I hold eye contact with him as he lifts a little and drops his head down to kiss Wren in a surprise move.

My mouth falls open. I can’t believe what I’m seeing. I mean, I can believe it, but I’m so close, and I get to see it. My skin prickles and crawls, but Raider’s arm only tightens, dragging me up their sides until my face is right beside theirs. Their arms are so hard and warm, and fingers bite into my flesh, holding me to them. I couldn’t escape if I wanted to. But I don’t.

They turn together, breaking the kiss and watching me with desire-filled eyes.

Shit.

I struggle, but it’s too late, far too late. Raider just turns his head, drops it down, and presses his lips to my cheek. I think, in that moment, my heart might explode from my chest. I think I might die happy.

My resistance evaporates.

He stays there until I relax, and then kisses closer to my lips.

“You can say no. You can run away, little beta.”

I hiss and grab his hair. “Shut up!”

I kiss him. His tongue sweeps into my mouth, poisoning me forever. What is it about this alpha, all tough and ruined, broken yet magnificent? All my fantasies don’t even come close to the real thing.

He pulls free and looks at Wren. “Kiss her.”

“He doesn’t have to-”

Wren angles his head and kisses me before I can finish speaking. Where Raider’s kiss is a taunting invasion, Wren’s is a lesson in domination. He takes from me, and when he’s done taking; he demands more.

I want to give it all to him.

That’s just not possible, though, but I can do this. Raider sits up on his knees and starts pulling at my clothing. Wren doesn’t stop kissing me the whole time. I’m hyper aware of the Raider’s hands and the sudden cold, but Wren tears his mouth from mine, leaving me gasping for air.

“Hold her for me.”

Raider stills. After a long moment, he growls. “Fine.”

I’m caught and pulled up into his arms before I can think to protest. He grips me under my thighs and pulls my legs wide open.

“Yeah,” Wren murmurs in a husky voice. “That’s what I want to see. You shimmer, jailbird, with how much you want us. Positively glisten like a leaking faucet.”

He hasn’t looked up at my face, his eyes are glued between my legs.

“Time for your cavity search,” Wren teases and gestures to Raider.
