“She inferred that I shouldn’t sleep with him, and I wasn’t going to, and I didn’t the first night …”

Kimberly bursts out laughing. “But today …”

“Yeah. Without TMI. One thing led to another and here we are,” I tell her.

“You’re in Paradise. It’s what happens.” She chuckles.

“The thing is, we’ve kind of arranged to hang out when we get home.”

“Oh,” Kimberly adds.

“He’s heaps of fun.”

“And hot.” She giggles.

“Yes, he’s hot and way too young for me. And he has a sexy French-Canadian accent. He’s funny. Easy to talk to. I think I like hanging out with him.”

“Sounds like you like him,” she teases.

“Yeah, he’s a great guy but we’re just friends,” I tell her.

“Is that why you’ve called? To tell me about your new friend,” Kimberly teases.

“Yes ...” I answer slowly.

“Then good for you.”

“What does that mean?” I press her.

“That I’m happy he’s helping you get over your heartbreak,” Kimberly states.

“There are plenty of men here who can do that.”

“Except you’re only calling about him,” she adds.

True. “Fine. What do I do?”

“You’re seriously asking me what you should do?” Kimberly asks.

“Yes.”

“You keep having fun with him or someone else. Do not stress about the world outside that island. It’s also none of Issy’s business what you get up to on the island. When you’re off the island that’s a whole other situation,” she explains.

“Nothing is going to happen outside of the island,” I tell her.

“Seriously, Harps. Have fun. Get out of that head of yours and enjoy whatever that hot man is offering,” Kimberly says.

“I think I started to overthink things.”

“We can do that sometimes. I mean it, have fun. What happens on the island stays on the island,” she reminds me.

“Thanks for talking me off the ledge.”

“That’s what I’m here for.”

“Have you heard from Cam?” I ask, changing the subject.

“Yeah. She’s good. I think she’s thinking of visiting Ivy and Olivia in London, finalizing wedding things,” Kimberly explains.
