A loud yell on his end of the phone cuts me off, and he says, “Hold on just a second.”

His face disappears as there’s another commotion. The screen switches views a couple of times, and I get a glimpse of Lucas’ bed followed by the ceiling. When Teagan’s face comes up on the screen, I laugh so hard that I almost drop my phone in the water.

“Well, that’s an image for the spank bank if I ever saw one,” he smiles. He looks to the side of the screen, “I’m guessing, since Lucas here didn’t get caught with his pants down, he just happened to call at the perfect time.”

“How do you know he wasn’t already finished before you walked in?” I tease.

His mouth drops open, and I hear Lucas laughing on the other end.

“Idon’tknow that,” he says, a plan clearly forming in that head of his. “But if that’s true then I definitely want a turn.”

“What is this elementary school?” Lucas asks, “She’s not a toy, dude.”

Lucas may be speaking to him, but Teagan’s eyes are focused on me, “I never said she was, but I don’t think she’s opposed to the idea. Are you, sexy lady?”

Honesty wins out over all else, “Nope.”

His smile grows even wider, but then he groans. Flicking his eyes to the side, he asks Lucas, “How long til curfew?”

“Thirty minutes,” Lucas replies sounding further from the phone, “You’ll never make it.”

“Shit,” Teagan curses and looks back at me, “I’d love nothing more than to come jump in that tub with you, but if coach found out, I wouldn’t be playing this weekend.”

I’m already shaking my head before the words have left his mouth, “You better not. I’ll be here tomorrow. You can make it up to me. There’s no practice tomorrow, right?”

“Nope. So, I’ll be over there as soon as I can,” he promises.

I hear Lucas in the background, but he’s too far away for me to make out what he’s saying.

Teagan looks over the phone again, “I know, man.” The camera rocks around as he gets up and says, “I’m just going to run her across the hall real quick.” He turns back to look at me as he’s walking, “Goose and Mav shouldn’t be denied this sight.”

An unfamiliar voice pipes up as I see T walk out into the hallway, but he shuts them down quick, “None of your fucking business, Mason. Get to steppin before I stick my foot up your ass.”

The phone was tilted to the floor as he was telling the guy off, so I can only assume he was trying to see what Teagan was talking about, or rather, whom. All I see is carpet and flashes of his feet until he’s inside of another room.

“What’s up?” Goose’s voice sounds out.

Teagan flips the camera back up to face him, and he smiles down at me as he answers him, “Lucas was having an interesting conversation, and I figured I’d be nice and share.”

“I was going to let you all tell her goodnight,” Lucas’ voice says, and by the way that Teagan’s head turns, I can tell that he just walked in behind him.

“Yeah, after you sat in there and beat your meat,” T laughs, throwing a wink at me.

I can’t help but to laugh at them. I’ll miss them when I go to bed by myself tonight, but this almost makes up for it. Getting to talk to all of them, knowing that they are all close enough to be within walking distance of the same room as each other.

Lucas and Goose laugh, but I haven’t heard Mav yet. Somehow, I just know that he’s there without hearing him.

As I watch the screen, Teagan moves again, and the next thing I see is a grinning Goose, “Hey, babe.”

“Hi,” I smile back at him, “How was your day?”

I relax back down in the tub, leaving the phone on the edge facing me.

He watches with a longing look written all over his face, “Same old stuff, different day. It’s definitely better now.”

My laugh echoes around the small space and brings out a toothy grin from him.

“How was yours?” he asks.
