Page 24 of Refusing Kendall

I sigh, "Really? I'll always be your biggest fan.”

"That's good to know," he says right before swooping in front of me and lifting me, giving me no choice but to wrap my legs around his waist.

"Ah man," Teagan groans as Goose starts up the stairs.

"Snooze, you lose," he says in response, with his face in my hair.

"I guess that's what you get for scaring the bejesus out of your girlfriend," he complains. "She runs off with another guy."

Even though his words are true, I still feel bad enough to say, "I stole your jersey and brought it back home with me." For a second, from the look on his face, I think he may come running up the stairs after us and challenge Goose, but he doesn't. The look he sends me instead holds so much promise that I have to clamp my lips shut to keep from making any kind of noise.

Letting Goose carry me away from the others, I can’t help but think there are a few benefits to away games after all. It makes coming back together so much sweeter.

The next morning, I wake to sweat dripping down my face. My first thought jumps to the dark nightmare that I was just stuck in, but I’m quick to realize that it probably has more to do with the two huge male bodies on either side of me. Something grabs my toe, and I jerk my leg away in an automatic reaction and have to be careful not to knee Goose between his legs, as we’re lying face to face. Stifling a scream, I glance down to see Mav trying to fight a laugh as he holds his finger up to his lips, successfully keeping me quiet. Then, using the same finger, he crooks it at me.

Trying to weasel my way out from in between Goose and Lucas is a lot harder than I would have thought. Thankfully, my wiggling around causes Lucas roll over onto his back, making it easier for me to make it to the end of the bed without fully waking them. Of course, I should probably be worried about the fact that I’m completely nude in front of one of my boyfriends as I crawl away from the two I was already with, but Mav’s face still holds a smile.

He pulls me in for a hug when I’m close enough and puts his mouth to my ear, “Take a shower and get dressed, then meet me downstairs.”

I open my mouth to ask him where we’re going, but he shakes his head and puts his finger against my lips. Sliding his hand down, his fingers barely skim the skin down my side, and he presses his mouth to mine.

“Mmmm,” I murmur into his mouth. I can taste the mint of his toothpaste still on his breath, and I’m sure that my own smells atrocious, but I can’t bring myself to care at the moment. I’m considering asking him if we have to get dressed, because he could totally crawl up here between the Lucas and Goose sandwich. I wouldn’t mind that at all.

As if reading my mind, he steps back pulling me off the bed with him. When my feet hit the floor, he kisses my forehead and walks out. Ugh, what a tease. I do as I’m told and get dressed after my shower. The entire time my brain is trying to solve a riddle that is bouncing around my skull. I am in no way, shape, fashion, or form ashamed of the relationship that the five of us have, but it’s odd how I can’t seem to ever get enough of them. I had alone time with each of them last night, and Goose twice in fact. Teagan found out I was telling the truth about bringing his jersey back with me, and I even allowed him to get a better pic for the wallpaper on his phone. Thankfully, it doesn’t show too much of anything. Even after rolling around in the sheets with all of them last night, having Mav wake me up and kiss me like he did made me want to pull him onto the bed and turn our threesome into a foursome. Forget the riddle of me being horny, what if we were all in bed like that together? Holy fuck. Now there’s a mental image to save for later. I’m not sure if Mav and Teagan would ever go for it, though, because of their possessive natures. Doesn’t mean that a girl can’t fantasize.

Since Mav didn’t say where we’re going, I throw on a pair of jeans and one of my nicer light-grey baby tees. As I make my way downstairs to him, the sound of the news travels up the steps. There’s always some horrible shit going on. The world would be a much nicer place if people could just learn to open their hearts and minds a little. Wouldn’t take much.

Mav sits facing the TV, and I throw my arms around him from the back as I lean my mouth down to his ear, “I’m here as ordered, Mr. Phillips. Why are we up so early, and where are we off to?” My tongue snakes out to lightly lick the lobe in front of me, and the sound that comes from his throat is like music to my ears. Between that one noise and his teasing earlier, it makes me more forward than I normally am with him, or maybe it’s my hormones that are refusing to be ignored.

Stepping over the back of the couch, I fall onto his lap, trapping his legs in between my knees. His head falls back as I bring my lips to his. I give him as much as he gave me this morning, and his hands come up to rest against my hips as he grinds against me. Breaking us apart, he groans and nips the side of my neck, “Shit, Kendall. If you don’t stop doing that we won’t leave this couch for the next few hours, and you’ll miss your surprise.”

That pulls me up short. I sit back so I can see him better, “My surprise?”

His mouth twitches, “Yes. Your surprise. Why else would we be up at this ungodly hour? I can either give you what you want and spend the next few hours fucking you until you’re begging me to stop, or we leave now, and you’ll find out what I had planned for us today.”

As much as I’d love for him to do the first, my curiosity gets the best of me. Besides, there’s always later for option one.

I must say the last bit out loud, because he lets out a soft growl, “Always.”

Placing a soft kiss against his lips, I climb off him so he can stand.

“Grab your jacket,” he says, and it’s then I notice he’s wearing a light sweater over a t-shirt with his jeans. We must be doing something outside this morning.

I can’t help my nervous jitters as we get buckled into his Rover. It’s not like the guys don’t do nice things for me, because they do. They’ve just been really distracted since the season started. I can’t even begin to imagine the amount of stress they must be under, from not just playing, but starting college too. It’s a dramatic change, and I would never hold that against them. Besides sex, it’s a rare occasion that I ever get one of them alone; it’s usually all five of us hanging out. We rarely get uninterrupted time anymore, so we’re always together.

“Do the guys know we’re going out this morning?” I ask, the question following my train of thought.

He nods, “I didn’t want them freaking out when they woke up to find us gone. We can only hope that Lucas tries to spoon Goose again.” His eyes cut over to me, and the smile that crosses his face is better than any sunrise I’ve ever seen. We laugh for a few minutes after that. Leaning into the armrest on my left, I take his hand in mine. When our fingers link together, he brings them up to his lips.

We ride for the next twenty minutes towards the bay in a comfortable silence. His thumb absentmindedly strokes my hand the whole way.

As we pull into the gravel parking lot beside one of the largest boat docks, I see a huge party boat in the water with people already going aboard.

I narrow my eyes at Mav, “What is this?”

He reaches for my hand and waits to speak until he’s towing me toward the boat, “Your surprise.”

“You brought me to a yacht party before dawn?” I ask, teasing him.
