Chapter Sixteen

Inseparable. That wasthe term Jon used to describe him and Ivy for the past weeks. Any free moment they had, they’d spent together. Just because he was done with love didn’t mean he couldn’t feel deeply. She’d given him hope when he’d thought his life was beyond repair. He couldn’t even remember the last time a memory seized control of him. He only felt their absence, and for that he was grateful.

When Ivy was with him, he had everything. But when she wasn’t, it felt like smooth strands slipping through his fingers. She wasn’t his yet. Not in the way he needed her to be. She wouldn’t accept that she was putting herself in harm’s way, and she wouldn’t let him protect her. Max was still watching over her, and that gave him some comfort, but it wasn’t the same as providing the care himself.

He heard a car pull up, and he checked out the window to confirm it was her. She was stopping by early before the session. He’d finally convinced Lily to speak with Ivy about Joshua. It would all be done in a neutral space while he monitored the conversation. He was hopeful this would be their last session, and Lily could move on with the one she loved. Perhaps not with Ivy’s blessing, but with a starting point of understanding.

Ivy stepped from the car, all legs in a short skirt. Fucking gorgeous. She’d been surprisingly non-combative lately, while still retaining that fire he loved. Unfortunately, there was an immense secret between them, and it was one he was torn about sharing. Would she blow out of his life as quickly as she’d come if she found out he was a Dominant? It was a valid concern, considering she put all of them on the same level as pond scum.

Jon watched her walk up to his office door, the wind whipping her hair around her face. He’d tell her eventually; it was the right thing to do. But timing was everything. She needed to know him longer first, to better grasp the man he was instead of seeing him as a warped label.

He swung the door open for her, and she gave him a huge smile. He wasted no time pulling her inside and into his arms.

“Hi, Jonathan.”

He kissed the top of her head. Yeah, another thing that had surprised him. He’d loosened up on the name. After he’d opened up about Julia, his previous irritants were beginning to weaken. If Ivy liked his formal name better, why should he be a dick about it?

“No ice cream this time?” he said.

She’d shown up the other day licking a strawberry cone. He’d called her a fucking tease and ended up licking it all off of her instead.

She shook her head. “Disappointed?”

“Never.” He yanked her hair aside and buried into her neck, loving the way she squirmed. “I don’t need ice cream as an excuse to taste you.”

He could listen to those moans all day. And his mouth moving down her throat brought on plenty. He let go of her hair, trailing his hands up her thighs instead.

“Are you ready for today?” he asked.

“I’m not sure. I’m nervous.”

“Maybe I can prepare you first, make you more relaxed.”

“Jonathan....”

He stroked the edges of her panties, pushing her against the wall. Her eyes widened, hopefully with the memory of their first encounter.

“Let me take care of you.” He slipped a finger underneath the fabric, brushing over her hot skin. “We have some time before she arrives.”

“But—”

His lips fell on hers, locking her body to the wall. He played in her wetness. “This sweet pussy agrees.”

She vibrated against him. They didn’t have time for a fuck, but he could make her come very quickly. He knew exactly how she needed to be touched, what spots made her scream the hardest.

“Oh, Jonathan....”

“Come for me, baby.”
