“Yeah…” Kat sighs as she looks back up the side of the mountain. “Yeah, you’re right, we really should go home.”
Thedoortothestudy creaks open as Kat stands at the entrance, staring across the room. Her curvaceous figure dressed in only a white waffle bathrobe, her hair tied in a messy ponytail with a stray blonde curl hanging loose against the side of her face.
“Hey there.” She smiles and from the darkness of the shadows, she steps up to the front of the desk.
Darius pushes his chair back and places his phone down. He fixes Kat with a gaze and in silence, he remains focused on her body. Her large breasts fail to stay contained as they strain at the loose fabric of the white cotton robe. “How did you get on? Weren’t you supposed to be training earlier?”
“I’m getting there. Not fast enough, but I am getting there. I still have two weeks. I’ll do it.”
“Okay. That’s good.”
“That’s it? Just ‘okay, that’s good’?”
“You said you were going to do it, so I have no reason to doubt you.” Darius hitches his brow and smirks as he gets up from his seat and walks around to the front of the desk.
Kat runs an idle finger over the maps spread across its smooth mahogany surface. “Did you find a new architect?”
“No, not yet. That damn asshole Rhys sent is still not returning my calls. I’ll get on to him today and tell him to hurry things up. I know I was the one who called off, but you'd think if he wanted the contract, he’d have made contact by now.”
Kat smiles as she positions herself in front of him and brushes her hand gently up the length of his shirt-clad bicep.
He continues to grin as he now can’t help but flick at the gaping robe and take an advantageous peek of the soft round breasts hidden beneath.
“Are you busy?” she teases a smile. “I meant, do you need a hand with something? Tell me what you need me to do and I’ll help if I can.”
“If you really want to help me right now? Come here and blow my dick,” he smiles.
“Oh wow… Wow, you really have such a nice way of asking for things,” she giggles helplessly. “I just don’t know how a girl can resist you?”
“But you’re not going to resist me because you’re going to come here and do exactly what I tell you to do.” Darius grabs Kat’s hand in his and drags her back to the chair. He sits then pulls her onto his lap and with her legs straddled either side of his waist, he forces his tongue into her mouth.
“Mm… you smell so fucking good.” His lips trail a line of kisses down her throat as he teasingly bites against her neck. Her smell taunts him—it’s alluring and almost indescribable, and he recognizes that Kat is one of only a select few women whose scent overpowers him this way.
“Darius, don’t make me all dirty. This robe is clean and getting blood out of white fabric can be a real bitch.”
“Shut up!” He snaps as he grabs a fistful of her hair and forces another kiss.
Kat playfully rubs her hand against his groin and Darius gives a throaty groan as he pulls the tie from the robe to loosen it. Kat’s soft breasts fall against his chest and he smiles as his finger teases her nipple, making it peak. The pair are focused only on each other and Darius's cock fills with anticipation as he strokes the back of his hand on the soft smoothness of her flesh.
“I have a confession,” Kat offers nervously. “Something I forgot to tell you about the architect… He showed up here, the day you got spun up; you won’t need to call Rhys because I sent him away. I didn’t like him. He was much too full of himself and I didn’t think you’d like him either. Maybe we can find a different one?”
“You didn’t like him?” Darius’ brow hitches as a wry grin fills his mouth. “Well, that seems like a perfect reason to hire him. I won’t have to worry about you liking him.”
“Worry? When would you worry about someone else? Darius, I can’t imagine you worry about anything, let alone about some nobody architect. Unless you’re trying to say you’d get jealous if I liked someone else?”
“I always get jealous—I only want you as mine.” He kisses her neck and growls against her ear. “I wish I could have you all to myself.”
“Darius, you know I—”
“I know. I know that can’t be and I’ll live with it. But I won’t live with someone else coming into this relationship. That’s not going to happen. Anyway, back to the architect. I liked the stuff he sent through on email. It was like he was in tune with my thoughts. What I wanted—his proposals were good but… if you really don’t like him, then I’ll just make sure he keeps away from you while he does the work.”
“Darius, I really think you should get someone else. I don’t like the idea of strangers being here at the house. Please, could you just find somebody else?”
“Kat, don’t worry… if this guy fucks up, I’ll just kill Rhys and that security guy—Tyler. Rhys knows that and trust me, he’ll make sure this guy doesn’t step out of line. Stop worrying, everything will be fine. You and the pups are extremely well protected, I give you my word.”
“Yeah, I know it’s just…” she takes a breath and smiles as she strokes his face. “Okay, sure. You know, while we’re alone I thought that we could maybe discuss Evelyn? I know you keep avoiding the subject, but maybe we could talk about why?”
“You know the only thing I want your mouth to do right now is wrap it around my…Noah!”
