With a smile, she tosses back her long blonde hair and slides teasingly down his body until she’s on her knees in front of him. Massaging his dick with her hand, she wraps her mouth around it and flicks it with her tongue.

Darius releases a deep, soulful groan. His hand grabs forcefully at the back of her head and he holds her against him.

“Kat…” he snarls as he pushes his hips forward.

His body emanates the smell of sweat and his musky masculine aroma drives at Kat’s senses, sending her wild. She smiles and lapping against the smooth skin, she torments him until she can audibly hear the deepening growl rise in the back of his throat.

Darius thrusts forward before pulling back and denying himself her touch. The temptation of her means he can’t hold out and thrusting again, itdoesn't take much of her teasing before the cool of his orgasm glistens wet on her lips.

Wiping the sweet taste of him from her mouth, she teases a seductive glint as Darius helps her back to her feet. Wrapping his strong arms around her waist, he lifts her with ease to sit on the deskandteasing her thighs wide, he drops his head between her long lithe legs.

Kat gasps and closes her eyes. Her hair swirls across her shoulders as she groans in pleasure and her breasts, full and heavy with milk, peak on her chest as the tip of his tongue connects with her clit.

“Oh Darius…” she cries out. Barely able to catch a breath as he continues mouthing a tease on the small, peaked bud nestled in the soft folds. Her stomach clenches and as the wet of her desire seepsontoher thigh, she leans her head back. The heavy musk smell of their foreplay drifts across the desk and, as the enticing scent of arousal fills the room, Kat presses herself against the desk and cums.

There’s a paused moment of silence that descends over the pair.

Darius softly kisses Kat's lips as she remains still against the wood of the antique desk. Her scent is more intoxicating than the five large glasses of whiskey he drank, and he can’t help but lap the droplets of sweat caught in the crook of her neck.

He can smell the lingering scent of herarousal, and it again fills him with desire. He wants to carry her to his bed and make her his. Desperate to have her legs wrapped around him while he buries himself deep inside her softness, ride her hard as he feels the breath of her exhaustion against his skin and listen as she begs wantonly for more. That can’t happen—not yet, not so soon after her giving birth, and he will wait. He would wait for eternity for one more taste of Kat’s body.

“Are you okay?” he frowns, watching as a tear trickle from her eyes.

“Yes,” she nods. A suddenvivid image flashes in the front of her mind and tears well at the corner of her eyes before they trickle in a stream down the side of her cheek. Kat swallows as she tries desperately to regain control of her thoughts.

“Hey, answer me, are you alright? Did I hurt you? I was trying to be careful and—”

“No. No, you didn’t hurt me. I just… I had a moment. A memory, that’s all.”

“About me? From before when I… when I lost control?”

“No, not about you. It's nothing, it doesn’t matter.”

“Itdoesmatter. It matters to me if you’re not alright. Kat, what’s going on?”

“Nothing. Please don’t spoil it. This between us, don’t spoil it.”

“You telling me what’s wrong with you won’t spoil anything. Kat, I want to know.”

“It’s just, sometimes I get these images… of him. He comes into my head and usually, I can get rid of them—shut them out, but… sorry, I didn’t mean to… Darius,” she sniffs, “I just want to be with you. Hold me.”

Darius sighs and leaning forward, with Kat's arms wrappedcaressing the firm muscles of his back, he holds her tight in reassurance.

“Did he...” Darius swallows his anger, “did Auriel take your blood?”

“No, not that I remember, but I can’t be sure. I know he tried to bite me, but thankfully, we got interrupted. I know when I first came around, when the drugs wore off, I had some wounds on my arms. I think Travis might have taken some. Travis was a monster, but do you know what he told me? He told me it was his father that was the monster. How could Auriel be worse than him? And how can it be that I was less afraid?” Her breath curls into a painful gasp, her face awash with tears as she clings desperately to Darius and cries against the strength of his muscles.

“I am going to find and kill him. I promise you.” Darius snarls in anger.

“I know. But can’t you see? That’s why I get so worried about the pups—about Evelyn. I’m afraid for her... afraid someone like him might come for her. Darius, no one can know about her.”

“It’s okay. We’ll keep her safe. No one will come near her—I swear to you that I will protect you and her. She’s beautiful, just like you, and I promise I won’t let anyone ever hurt you again.” Kat sobs uncontrollably and Darius frowns, as he wipes the tears from her cheek. “Kat, please don’t cry. Baby, what is it? What’s wrong? I can feel it—inside you; something is not right.”

Kat swallows nervously hesitant, her tears choking her throat. “She can’t shift. Evelyn… can’t shift.”

“What? What do you mean, she can’t shift? Of course she can shift—she’s just choosing not to. She will in time. Digby said she is probably stubborn like her mother, right?” He smiles. “Kat, honey, talk to me. What makes you think she can’t shift? "

“Because she can’t. It was me who told Digby she was choosing not to, but the truth is she can’t. And I did that to her. I thought I was protecting her, strengthening her—making her into a real wolf, but now she’s trapped. She’s trapped in a wolf’s body and she’ll never be like the other pups. She won’t learn to read; she won’t go to school… ice cream and bicycle rides… swimming sessions… She won’t be able to do any of those things because of my stupidity.”
