There’s a lot of pushing and shoving—the sound of cursing—and snarls. Travis is angered, and he flicks opens his jacket and flashes the silver-colored weapon holstered inside. Digby’s not scared by it, but he does stop and hesitate—weighing up the limited options of what to do.
“Whatthefuckis going on here?” Rhys demands to know. He glowers angrily as he stands behind the pair. His own personal security, Klaus—a giant of a man with a beard and hair tied in a thin ponytail—standing ready beside Rhys as they watch the testosterone-fueled performance going on between Travis and Digby.
Travis turns around, and a smug, arrogant smile fills his lips. “Wow… You really have the whole twin thing down pat, don’t you? It’s a good look, identical twins. Personally, I like it very much. Can I just ask, is she into this whole twin-sharing thing? It might be useful to know for future reference.”
“Who the fuck are you and how the hell did you get into my club? Klaus… go check with Eric and find out how the fuck this asshole got in here and when you do… then fire whoever the fuck it was. Do it now!”
The rest of Rhys’s security team steps up—each flashing a glimpse of their own weapons.
“Now…. the party’s over and it’s time for you to…Get the fuck out of my club!Oh and don’t bother coming back anytime soon—your membership just got revoked.”
“Awww… and I was just thinking what a nice little club it was. Rhys, it would be a real shame if it didn’t stay that way. I hear that some of the other local clubs have had a lot of trouble recently.”
“I told you…Get the fuck out!”Rhys snarls up close in his face.“I’d do it now if I were you.”
“Oh, I will go when I finish my drink…Ya versus,”Travis again gestures to his protection and they immediately step back.
He does exactly what he says. Not leaving, he heads back to the bar and picks up his unfinished glass of vodka—drains it in one large mouthful and then smashes the glass on the floor. “You know…” he sniffs, “I’m going to get myself a club like this. One question—if I take this one, does she come with it?”
“You need to get the fuck out… Now!” Digby snarls as he steps forward and grabs a hold of him.
“Woah…. You know, you two really, reallyare alike. Even I can’t tell you apart—I have never seen a set of twins so similar. Please tell me, do you share the same small-sized dick too?” Travis laughs loudly, “It must be hard being so identical. You have to share everything. I know it’s not nice. See me… I was never good a sharing—it doesn’t come naturally to me. I guess I just don’t play well with other people.” He grins and teasingly goads Digby by adjusting the collar of his shirt. “Hmm… but I have to say, your brother has a better style than you—smooth. And not so hot-headed I think.”
Digby clenches his fist by his side and grinding his teeth, he’s ready to go full force with his anger. Both Zak and Bud ready themselves to hold him back.
“Kat… Baby, I will see you soon.” Travis smiles, blowing her a kiss. “Dosvidaniyamoyakrasavitsa.”
“What? What did you say? Hey… hey what did you just say?” Digby snarls. “Kat… what the hell did he say?”
“It was nothing. Digby, really, it doesn’t matter. He’s just trying to wind you up. Ignore him. Shit…” she sighs as Digby demands again. “Oh… it was just something like… goodbye beautiful.”
“Really? Hey, you, you heard Rhys… my brother told you… Get your fuckin’ shady ass out of here. Oh, and be warned, if I ever see you again, then I’m takin’ you down—no hesitation next time.”
“You know something—Digby—I will be coming back. I will take her from you and the thing is… you’ll never see it coming.”
“You’re not gonna do nothin’. Because you go anywhere near her and I’ll break your fuckin’ neck.”
“Sure, if you say so. Kat… I’ll see you soon.” Travis takes a bow and smiles as he turns to leave.
“All right… so who thefuckwas that guy?” Digby growls in rage.
“I don’t know but…” Zak positioning himself between Digby, and the only exit, holds him back. “Diggs, you need to calm the hell down. It’s finished—dealt with, he’s gone.”
Rhys makes a sudden grab at Kat’s arms, hugging her to his side. “I need you,” he whispers. “I have a much bigger fuckin’ problem I need your help with.”
“Get your hands off me. Go sort out our own damn problems. If you didn’t notice, I have enough going on here right now, and I need to work on calming Digby down.”
“Oh, he’s fine. I’ll get Hudson to bring him some more drinks over, and as for the uninvited guest—don’t worry, he’s gone. I’ve got a more immediate and worrying problem—Darius.”
“Darius? Well, Darius is not my problem. Not anymore.”
“Well, now I’m saying he is. I need you to go talk to him because… he’sdrunk. He never gets drunk—in fact, I actually have no idea how much alcohol it takes to get a fuckin’ vampire drunk.”
“Well, maybe he’s having a bad day and needed a drink. I don’t know. Like I said, Darius is not my concern.”
“Well, he is mine. Kat, I can’t have a drunk vamp in the club. Do you have any idea just how dangerous that could be? Now he wants a woman, and all the girls are too scared to be with him. And why do I have the feeling you might be the cause of this particular problem, huh? So, you will come with me and fix this, right now.”
“I will not sleep with Darius just because he’s causingyoua problem. Me and Darius are done.”
