Hurriedly, he takes his phone from his pocket and makes a call. “Diggs… Yeah, it’s me. You need to get back to Kat’s office, ASAP… No, no I meanrightnow… Digby, will you just shut the hell up and listen, it’s serious. Luna—she’s out of control.”

“Hey…” Digby smiles, “so you’re back?”

Kat opens her eyes and blinks. Looking at him, she gently strokes her hand on his face—as he sits on the floor holding her. “What the hell happened?” she frowns.

“I don’t know exactly. Darius said you were talking—you had words—then, suddenly you just lost it, and… Luna appeared. Do you remember anythin’?”

“No. No, not really. All I can remember is I couldn’t hold her—it was impossible. She was way too strong for me and… she forced the shift. Oh… please tell me she didn’t hurt anyone?”

“No, no everyone’s fine. But I think we need to get you home.”

“I’ve never had that happen before—I mean she’s tried to, but I’ve always been able to hold her.”

“It’s okay, it’s probably with everythin’ that’s been goin’ on—Mexico and everythin’. She probably just needed to run off a little steam, right? Hey, we can go up to the forest later—if you want to—it might do you, her, some good? You know you do feel really hot, do you think you might be comin’ down with somethin’?”

“No, I don’t think so. I feel all right. Maybe it’s just because it’s nearly the full moon—since she got shut out with that collar, I noticed She seems a little angrier than normal. Maybe I just have to work on keeping control of her. I’m fine now—really. Though I am hellishly hungry,” she smiles.

“Me too. C’mon let’s get you home and I’ll send out for some pizza. Oh, I think we better find you some clothes first—don’ wanna give Edwards another thrill, I’m not sure his heart will stand it.”

“Edwards… Shit, I was supposed to go see him, and I didn’t read that report.”

“Hey, don’t worry about him—Dee’s sorted it. He told him you weren’t feeling well. And… after what he saw earlier, I’m not sure he’s ready for an angry She-wolf as well.” He grins and kisses her.

“Yeah, I think you might be right. C’mon… let’s go home, there’s something else I need to do with you,” she smiles.

Chapter 14

Friday night Moon Phase: Full moon

“Kat, will you get your ass outta that damn bathroom? The limo’s here and the boys are waitin’. Geez… how long does it take to get ready?”

Digby sighs and checks the time on his watch and looks up to the sound of the bathroom door opening.

Kat enters the hallway and walks towards him, “So how do I look?”

“Fuck me… My God Kat, you look fuckin’ amazin!”

“Really?” she smiles, smoothing the front of the green satin dress. Standing tall, her blond hair is piled on top of her head with some of the curls loosely framing her face. The shoestring emerald green gown she’s wearing is cut perfectly around her breasts; an open back design that sits an inch above her ass before it curves perfectly around it. The long split in the front shows just a glimpse of her toned legs and when she walks the matching jeweled high heels tease from underneath the hem.

“You know, this dress is kinda nice, but I’m not sure it’s really me. Though I can tell why it cost so much—the fabric is such amazing quality, and it fits really well.”

“You know I um… I hadn’t exactly noticed the fabric.” Digby’s eyes are on stalks as they focused, fixated on the firm plump of her breasts cosseted in the green satin.

With a huge grin, he leans in and kisses her.

“Diggs careful, you’ll mess up my lipstick. Oh, God… this is so damn stupid. Why the hell am I getting so worked up about a party your asshole brother is forcing us to go to?”

“I don’t give a damn about Rhys. Tonight, I get to show the whole wolf-world that you’re mine,” he smiles. “And man, talk about making a wolf feel proud—any damn pack would want you as their alpha.”

Zak yells from outside and both Kat and Digby look up. “Diggs! Diggs… Seriously, you need to come and check out this sound system… It’sfuckin’awesome!”

“Rhys sent a limo. I think Zak’s kinda impressed.”

“A limo? Seriously? Shit… he is pulling out all the stops. Oh, wait… in that case, I’m gonna call Riley and tell him we’ll pick them up instead of getting a cab. I wanna see his face when we rock up in a limo. You don’t mind, do you?”

“Um… well, wouldn’t it just be better if… No, sure, of course, it’s fine. Why the hell not, and it’s not like there’s not enough room, right? Tell you what, I’ll wait outside. I wanna go check out the sound system too.”
