Quietly, he tiptoes to the desk, but stopping at the couch, he peers over the back. Watching the naked muscular buttocks rising and dropping in front of him, he smiles. “What the hell… Hey, is that you, Hudson?”

“Oh… oh holy shit. Fuck! Uh, yeah. Yeah. Sorry, it’s… it’s not what you think. Well, it is, but we—” Hudson stutters as he looks over his shoulder.

“Is that Dana underneath you? Oh my God… well, would you fuck-the-devil, look at you two.” Michael smiles as he recognizes the tattooed hoop pierced breasts. “Hell Dana, I thought you said you had sworn off wolves for life? Well, I guess we all have our own kinks, right? But please… don’t let me stop you. Just pretend I’m not here—I’m highly intrigued to see what you’re up to.”

“Sorry, we… We’re done.”

“Well, I’m not done,” Dana sneers. “I mean. C’mon Hudson don’t be shy finish me off.”

“Yeah, c’mon Hudson—you heard the lady—finish her off.” Michael grins, “you know, looking at your bare ass, I could get a taste for wolves myself.”

Dana smiles with a curled sneer—her long fangs tease from under her lip.

“Uh, no… I should go. I need to get cleaned up. I have to work later.” Hudson stands up and searches for his clothes.

“Hey just wait up. Rhys wants this place cleaned up before he gets back, so… it’s best you make a start—though I’m just thinkin’,” he smiles looking at the naked wolf. “Are you interested in makin’ some extra dough? Cos I have a client who would pay really good money to watch you clean. You’d have to stay dressed like that, but… he’ll pay. You interested?” Michael smiles. “I could call him?”

“No thanks,” Hudson growls dismissively from deep inside his chest.

“Oh well, that’s a damn shame. Never mind. Hey… before you go, did uh, Rhys mention anything to you as to why Ryan was here last night. And do you know where Kat was?”

“No. No, he didn’t say anythin’ to me. I think they were just partying, why?

“Oh, no reason—I was just curious. Did he also mention anythin’ about a new business client? Someone he needs to entertain?”

“No, but why the hell would he tell me that? I’m just a bartender.”

“Yeah, but you’re a good bartender, right? I mean, you bring in a lot of business—or that body of yours does—and a lot of guests come here just because of you. My guess is Rhys isn’t payin’ you nearly enough for your skill-set, am I right?”

“I get good money. And I’m more than happy with what I get.”

“Yeah, well, just keep in mind… we’re talkin’ about making some changes around here. So… maybe a promotion could be in the pipeline if you grease the right wheels?”

“I’m not givin’ you a blowjob, Michael. I don’t do shifters—not straight ones, anyway.”

“No, no that’s not what I meant, dumbass. And for your information, you’re really not my type. No, I mean, if you hear things—anything going on in the club—then let me know. We all have a duty to do the right thing by Rhys. After the incident the other night, I wanna tighten up on security around here. You know, it’s about time you made senior bartender, right?”

“Iamthe senior bartender. What the hell do you want, Michael?”

“Nothing. But we need to keep our eyes and ears open, right? Make sure we don’t get any more problems like the one the other night, that’s all. So, if you hear anything about Kat or anything like that—guys givin’ her problems—then just let me know first. Rhys has enough on his plate and I wanna take some load off.”

“Okay, well I’ll bear that in mind. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to find my clothes and get dressed.”

“Uh yeah, I guess you do. Hudson, you’re a good little wolf—very loyal. It’s a cute kind of a rare quality these days. Right, I should go too. Dana… can you leave the wolf alone and get dressed, I wanna get a stock check done later today.”

“Oh, shit…” Dana groans as she slumps back against the floor. Leaning on her elbow, she props herself up and smiles. Parting her legs wider, she plays, teasingly, with one of the metal hoops attached to her nipple. “Hey… so Hudson, are you gonna come finish me, or can I just stay here and watch you clean the office? It’ll have pretty much the same effect,” she grins again, showing her fangs.

Hudson snarls and checking the office door is closed. He glances at the monitors on the wall—concentrating on the one showing the hallway outside—Michael, talking into his cell phone as he takes the elevator back downstairs to the bar.

Then turning around, Hudson grins as he watches Dana. Laying with her back flat to the floor, she’s playing with herself. “Oh hey, just wait up,” he smiles, “not so fast—there’s no rush. Hell, I only just got started before we were interrupted. Now…” he drops between her legs, “where was I?”

Chapter 26

Throwing his keys onto the kitchen counter, Digby stands still and listens.

“Kat… Kat are you here?” Looking at the near-empty jar of peanut butter left out, he smiles. “How the hell many times do I have to tell you not to leave the spoon in it like that? Geez, woman… do you ever listen.”

He replaces the lid and cleans up. Turning around, he drops the cloth into the trash and sniffs. Smelling a heavy scent of vanilla, he follows the aroma down the hall, and first opens the bedroom door. The quilt on the bed is thrown back and notices a tee-shirt of Kat’s laying on the floor, picking it up he takes a long sniff of her scent.
