“And why don’t you shut the hell up. I’ve had enough when I say I have.” Digby hauls himself from the bench in the booth and staggers towards the bar. Then, with a snarl on his lip, he stares at Hudson and demands another.

“Yeah Ryan buddy, maybe you should listen to Zak and slow down? Looks like you’ve had a fair few already. Are you really sure you want another?”

“Did I ask for your opinion? No, I don’t think I did. So why don’t you just shut the fuck up and pour the damn drink like my brother pays you to.”

“All right fine, but don’t say I didn’t warn ya. So anyway, where’s that gorgeous woman of yours tonight? I mean, if you’ve binned her off already, can you throw her details my way cos she seemed like she might be a crazy fuck, right?”

There’s a rumbling sound; it’s a guttural growl in Digby’s chest and he springs up from the stool, grabbing at the tight black fabric of Hudson’s shirt. Using all his angry strength, he hauls the muscular barman over the top of the bar. “You put your dick anywhere near Kat and I’ll rip it and your pearly white teeth out of your fuckin’ mouth and ram them up your ass. Do you understand me?”

“Whoa! Whoa… all right, calm the fuck down, I was joking. Geez Digby, what the hell’s got into you? Wow… this time of the month stuff has seriously got some of you a little crazy out there. Perhaps you need to go home and jerk off some steam.”

“Hey… hey, Digby man, what the hell’s goin’ on?” Zak looks at Hudson and sighs as they exchange an exasperated look.

“Nothin’, just Hudson windin’ me up. Really, it’s nothin’… a misunderstandin’, we’re cool, right?”

“C’mon, let’s go sit down. Hudson, thanks. And sorry ‘bout that.”

“Yeah, no problem, bro. I’d just take him home if I was you.”

“Yeah, it’s okay, I got this. Diggs, c’mon follow me.” He guides him back towards the booth. Dragging his hand through his hair, Zak’s not sure what to do but then just before they get back to the safety of the table, they’re intercepted. “Oh, fuck Alyssa! Great, that’s just what he needs… not.”

“Hey babes, are you okay? I saw what happened with Hudson, so what’s going on? You seemed a little tense. Is there anything I can do to help?” She smiles but before she can say another word, Digby grabs at her long golden ponytail, and dragging her head to his mouth he forces his tongue between her lips and invades her throat.

She grins wildly and relaxes, wrapping her arms around his head, embracing him in a whirlwind kiss. Sliding her hands over his chest, she smooths a path down his hips then over the curve of his butt. “Oh, there he is… my Digby. I guess you missed me after all. I knew you’d come back to me.”

“Mm-hm,” he groans. He’s not listening to what she’s saying—his brain busy questioning what it is his body’s doing? But he can’t control his sexual urge and she’s right here, flaunting herself in front of him, offering to take care of him. What he needs is to release the burning-hard fire in his groin and so again he forces himself against her, groping her ass.

“Whoa… whoa, slow down there, baby. Mind my dress, it was very expensive.” she grins, looking around at everyone staring, watching his over-the-top public display of affection with her. Alyssa loves the attention, she thrives on it, and it’s why she’s the number-one alpha female at Selene’s. “Digby, why don’t we get some drinks and take a seat over there. It’s more private.” She leads him by the hand to the booth in the corner. “Jacinta… I will have a bottle of champagne and Digby will have some beers when you’re ready.”

As they sit, Digby can’t keep away from her. Her alpha scent is driving him wild and he can’t keep his hands off—groping at her breasts and suffocating her with his mouth, his stubble scratches her face in a kissing frenzy.

“Wow! Well, someone’s a little needy there.” She smiles. “Have you not been gettin’ any, baby? Well, don’t worry, I’ll take care of all that tonight.”

“Lissy, do you ever shut up?” He quietens her again, thrusting his tongue to the back of her mouth, teasing her tastebuds with the whiskey he’s drunk.

“What?” Zak sighs and looks at Oz, his face filled with a concerned expression. “Hey, don’t look at me like that. I’m not the one forcing him to stick his tongue down her throat.” He scowls as he stares, watching Digby—who looks like he’s about to mount Alyssa right here in the club. “Oh fuck… that’s all I need.” He groans, watching as Darius now arrives. Hesitating at the entrance, staring at Digby attached to Alyssa.

“Well, it looks like he’s working that out of his system then? Zak… keep a fuckin’ watch on him. This moon’s sending him crazier than normal.”

“Yeah, I am. But, I think he’s seriously gonna regret this tomorrow. I’m not sure coming here tonight was such a great idea after all. And him going with her, that’s not good. She’s trouble at the best of times and the last thing this team need is her and Kat going head to head.”

“Oh, I’m sure it’ll be fine. Anyway, I think Kat’s gone out for dinner with a friend. I doubt she’ll be back tonight,” he grins.

“A friend? Really, who? She never said anythin’ to me about a friend. I didn’t even know she had any friends.”

“Yeah, some doctor type. Wiley… no Riley, I think he’s Quinn’s brother? I did a little checking on him… is he really not a shifter?”

“So Quinn says. God knows how that works. I’d say it’s more like his mommy tellin’ tall tales about who his daddy is?” Zak laughs and Darius and Oz both nod.

“Well, I gotta go. I’ve got a blonde on pre-order that I need to take care of. So hey… don’t disturb me unless there’s a nuclear-sized problem. And like I said, keep your fuckin’ eyes on him. Oh, and Zak one more thing… make sure there’s no trouble tonight. I’m leaving you in charge.”

“Roger that!” Zak sighs and pushing himself back in the seat he sips from his beer. Keeping his eyes focus on Digby in the booth across the room. He’s still busy kissing Alyssa, and so Zak closes his eyes and takes a moment to enjoy the music.

Lost in thoughts he suddenly opens his eyes and looks up to find Digby stood over him.

“So, we’re gonna head off.” Digby smiles. Alyssa, drunk on champagne, clinging to his waist.

“Wait? Seriously… you’re gonna go? Hey, Diggs, you’re not gonna take her back to your place, are you? Diggs you sure about this. I mean, do you really wanna do this? C’mon man, I’m not sure it’s a good idea, and what about Kat?”
