Her Ky wasn't dumb though. He used the second of time it took the black Dragon to defend himself to rain icicles of death down on Kur-Jara's black head.
The black Dragon shrieked in pain as the ice sliced his scales from his body. Even his blood was black, turning to ash as it dropped from his skin.
Jada had been dumbstruck by the sneak attack, but no more. The plan to use her and the other mates as bait was shot to hell, however, she could still use the only weapon she had against him.
Ky’s lovemaking and his declaration of love had replenished her, and she had energy to spare. She would need every bit of it to make her allure strong enough to affect the black Dragon.
Jada centered herself remembering her very first lessons from Leon on how to bring her allure to the surface. It was second nature to her now except she was used to only releasing a smidgen of it. Because of the lesson from Ninsy and her practice on Ky she understood what she had to do. It wasn't easy though. Her own instincts screamed at her not to overdo it, inherently understanding too much would be detrimental to her.
Not that it mattered now. Ky was a beautiful light in this world where she was only a glimmer. It would be worth sacrificing herself for him. The shard at her throat buzzed uncomfortably at that thought.
What had happened today had intertwined their souls. Something inside told her that either of them dying would severely affect the other one.
So, no sacrifice of her life for his, but she would give everything up to that very edge.
Jada spread her arms wide, her naked body feeling the remaining warmth of the day. She and Ky had whiled away most of the afternoon in each other's arms and bodies, and the black dragon had once again chosen just before dusk for his attack.
That was fine she was comfortable with the dark and her nakedness only added to the sexual component of her magic.
She released the first push of her allure aiming it towards the black Dragon. There would be no way it wouldn't also hit Ky, but she hoped that because of their mating it would not have the same effect on him.
Neither even flinched or seemed to notice.
Okay, she had inadvertently been too conservative. She opened herself up more and shoved the allure at them.
Oh yeah, that got their attention. Both dragons looked over at her. Ky with a beautiful lust in his elongated blue Dragon eyes, and Kur-Jara with what she could only describe as irritated surprise.
“Looks like your whore is trying to get my attention.”
“She’ll get a whole lot more than that from you, piece of dog shit.”
The black dragon lashed out at Ky with his tail, missing him by mere inches. Ky returned the attack with a blast of ice, encasing the black dragon’s wings and torso, dropping him to the ground.
Jada loved how they were working in synchronicity.
The black Dragon writhed on the ground and the ice covering half his body melted away. Jada needed to stop screwing around and give it all she had.
She took a deep breath, closed her eyes and thought of Ky's kisses. She gathered the power of the allure into a swirling mass of magic, stepped forward to give this burst all she had, and threw it out into the world.
Every living thing in a one-hundred-yard radius stopped whatever it had been doing and focused on Jada. The birds in the sky, the insects on the ground, the fish in the water, and the dragons in battle.
Both Ky and Kur-Jara dropped to their knees, incapacitated.
Ky lost control of his dragon and shifted back into his human form. Kur-Jara snapped and growled but didn't get up or shift.
“Ky, Are you okay?”
His breathing was heavy, and he didn't respond.
“Looks like you broke your boy toy, succubus whore.”
“You really need to find another insult for me besides whore. Work on that, will you?”
The black dragon's mouth snapped shut and his head tilted to the side as if he were actually working on the problem. Well, good. She was tired of hearing the vitriol coming out of his mouth. Asshole.
Jada ran over to Ky and put her hands on his shoulders. “Ky, look at me.”
He obeyed and when his eyes met hers the lack of anything behind them sent fear crawling through her like snakes on a plane. Horrible and not fun at all.
