He slid his hand under my stomach and up between my breasts, lifting, he pulled me so I stood upright with my back to his chest as he continued to move in and out of me. Licking the side of my neck, he whispered, “I’m so close. I didn’t … I didn’t think you would feel so damn good. I can’t hold back.”

“Never hold back with me,” I ordered him. Taking the hand holding me upright, I moved it so he grasped one of my breasts. “Come for me, Trey.”

He rubbed his face against my neck and shoulders, ensuring his scent covered me.

I moaned softly and leaned down so I was bent over.

He gripped my hips again and increased his speed, our skin slapping together so loud that I knew our attempts at keeping quiet were now ruined, but also not caring.

Another orgasm tore through me and I bit the blanket and screamed into it.

Trey grunted as he found his own release and stayed buried inside of me as he caught his breath.

After going to the bathroom to clean himself, he came back, still naked, pushed me into the bed, and curled around me, our naked, satisfied bodies, melding together perfectly.

“I love you, Lily.”

“I love you, too, Trey.”

“Tomorrow, I’m going to take you somewhere, okay?”

“Okay,” I agreed.

“And tomorrow, Mason, Kayden, and I are going to show you exactly what we had planned when we finally convinced you to follow through with your promise.”

“Tease,” I whispered as my heavy eyelids became too heavy to keep open.

Chapter

The place Trey ended up wanting to take me was a jewelry store.

Somehow, we escaped the house without having to deal with my adoptive fathers, and after a delicious breakfast, they brought me to the very expensive store.

“What are we doing here, again?” I asked.

A beautiful woman in a pants suit walked out of the back, smiling wide. “Prince Trey! It’s been so long.” She attempted to pull Trey into a hug, but I hissed at her and she smiled and dropped her arms. “Are you here to pick up your item, finally? It’s been waiting for, what, seven years?”

He had something here for that long? Seven years, that was when we were eighteen.

“I am,” he said with a nod.

She clapped her hands together. “Wonderful! I’ll go fetch it for you. One moment, please.”

“Seven years?” I asked.

He nodded. “Yes, I bought this item seven years ago, but it’s been waiting for this moment.” His phone rang, so he pulled it out of his pocket. “One second, it’s my mother.” Walking a bit away, he answered. “Hello?” His brows furrowed immediately.“You have no say, Mother. No. Absolutely not.” His eyes widened. “You should not make threats you won’t andcannotfollow through on. If that’s the way you feel, then perhaps it is better if I am banished then. Oh, now it’s my fault? You know what, I’m done with your attempted manipulations and gaslighting. From this moment forward, you will not speak to me. Goodbye.”

“What’s going on?” I asked him nervously.

He dialed a number and held the phone back up to his ear. “Father, I think you need to speak to Mother. What did she do this time? Well, she just threatened to banish me from the Den and to disown me. Yes. Yes. Yep. Exactly. Well, from here on out, I’m cutting my ties with her. You’ll have to provide her updates on my life as you see fit. She is not going to manipulate or change my mind, not again. I let her do that six years ago and I’m not going to risk another catastrophe happening.” He glanced at me and said, “It almost cost me my soul.”

Kayden wrapped his arms around me and pulled me back against his chest, his chin rested atop my head. “It’s alright, Lily. He and his father are close, you know that. His dad won’t let his mom’s attempts at controlling him cause any issues with his place with the dragons.”

“It’s about me, isn’t it?” I whispered, and swallowed hard.

He turned me around and brushed my hair out of my face, tucking it behind my ear. “You’re the only reason Trey gets that worked up, so I’m assuming so.”
